CNN reporter just reported that Bush is in Texas for detox

CNN reporter just reported that Bush is in Texas for detox
Dana Bash was reporting from the Waco ranch standing in front of what looked to be an old Green Acres set. I am paraphrasing but she did use the word detox. I do not know what other uses that word has except ridding oneself of poisons, drugs, and alcohol? I have not heard about him being poisoned lately so what is she talking about? Freudian slip maybe? She was on the CNN show On The Story so the transcript should be available later today?

She said something to the effect that he is cutting a bunch of brush and running a lot which helps him detox. She may have had Bush's niece on her mind? But she was reporting on Junior.

8. Well, this isn't common knowledge
But the entire city of washington dc was attacked by a chemical weapon back in the 1960s. Somebody put LSD in the water, and they still haven't gotten it completely out. The LSD builds up in the system over the year, which is why it's important for Bush to take a month off to get that stuff out of his system.

Explains a lot, doesn't it?

12. Detox.....emotionally and mentally.
I call it "winding down" Everyone does it in one form or another. Getting rid of the cares and issues of life in simple or complex ways.

Wishful thinking on our part fortuantely. THings are bad enough in this country w/o our President becomeing an "active" alcoholic again.

18. What is it with Reagon and Bush cutting that stuff all the time????
I figured Reagon had cleaned up the whole state of Calif in his 8 years. Now bush is doing it. Do you think that may be a job so they can get out on the open and 'think'??? It is crazy.

Detox is an old health-nut term. Gotta sweat alot and/or eat certain un-palatable veggies, etc. Or the toxins will build up in your body and kill you after 60-80 years.

So if she didn't treat it that way... I mean, I know the press in general and cable in particular are exceedingly deferential to Shrump but surely there are limits. I just can't believe this wouldn't be handled as major breaking news.

Hope it's true though. Can't think of anything that would be worse for his credibility other than concrete proof of malfeasance leading to 9/11.

And as long as I'm wishing things, I wouldn't mind winning a $100 million lottery either. If this turns out ot be true I'm going right out and buying me a ticket.

Never heard the word detox associated with stress before in my life. My websters dictionary makes no mention of stress either. Poison, alcohol, and drugs are listed though.

alcohol IS a drug.

saying 'drugs and alcohol' is like saying 'cars and camrys'

george bush is a drug addict. his drug is alcohol.

Poor Dana Bash. Sounds like she just made the most unfortunate word choice in history. Expect her to disappear and never be seen again.

By the way, I also noticed that bizarre background shot yesterday. The barbed wire fence, the leaning dilapidated shed, the broken down tractor? Jeez Louise, it looks like the Alabama farm country where I grew up. I am used to "scenery" like that, but I can just imagine people the world over seeing that and saying, "Where the hell IS she?"

7. Since the whole ranch is a fake
built only in time for him to step into in Nov. 2000, I doubt if the shrub knows what it means to cut brush. The whole thing is fake, and I fear for the country when I think what this creature may be plotting.

I think she was correct in the sense that he spews venom all over DC and the country...and then needs to go to Texas to unload what's left...and reload for when he returns.

29. Uh, MODemocrat, I don't see anyone spinning for Bush.
What I DO see are some folks explaining what "detox" means in a health-food-store, yoga, etc., sense. It just means to rid your body of accumulated wastes, usually by fasting, exercise, meditation, colonics, massage, etc. That's all.

If * was doing an alcohol detox, we'd never hear about it.
