I don't think Rumsfeld is going to make it
The Bush White House would not send out leaks saying they are "disappointed" in Rumsfeld's handling of the torture scandal if they didn't want to send a message that his days in office are numbered. Rumsfeld has never been well liked by the military brass, nor has he ever been a favorite of congressional Republicans, much less the Democrats. I certainly don't see any of them sticking their necks out to save Rumsfeld's butt. Karl Rove and his personal assistant George W. Bush must regard Rumsfeld as easily expendible, as throwing him overboard makes it much less likely the torture scandal will reach the White House. I give Rumsfeld another month or two before he resigns "to spend more time with his family."

1. Rummy, gee we'll really miss you
And your arrogant fascist bullshit! Gosh who will condescend to us when you are gone? Oh wait, that's right, there's about a hundred more pompous a-holes in this administration to condescend to us.

3. Have you noticed Bush, cheny and Rummy haven't had their
cocky attitudes on display lately?
where are their famous smirks?
I hope Rummy rots in hell for what he has brought on to this country.

8. Bush's cocky arrogant attitude was on full display today
for the Iraqis.

Hope there is a Saturday Night Massacre of resignations. Bush won't FIRE anyone.

Get Ready to walk the plank Rummy
He'll need to hit multiple home runs on Friday or he is out by Monday.

Wonder if there are any senior exec position open at Halliburton?

9. He might stay because
he knows too much and if they get rid of him, he may be inclined to tell what he knows.

6. But if not, how can this help Bush?
It's the tip of the incompetence iceberg IMHO, and everyone will see that.

7. Oooooooooh...that would be too good to be true.
I'm sure he'll make the necessary "I made a mistake, this is horrible" speeches and be welcomed back into the slimy fold.

12. He should be fired!
I doubt if he will be or will resign. As another poster stated that would signal a weakness in Bushco and they cannot afford that.
If what the toady Scotty said is true that W didn't have a clue until it hit the Media, Rummy has to be fired due to derelection of his duty. I Rummy says that W knew way before that make Scotty a liar and looks real bad for W. It's a no win box.

If the Dems were half way smart they would open up his smelly box and make the public smell the stench. I doubt that the Dems will do this because it bodes ill for the Oligarchy which they also serve.

In less than a week this will go down the ADD hole and the next story to shock will replace this one.

"The artist formerly known as Rummy"...now just a chop, skip and a jump away from retirement into his patriotic role as Bush Administration Sacrificial Lamb.

13. HAHA he's fungible!
wasn't O'Neill treated the same way?

I'm guessing People magazine won't include him in their next "sexiest men alive" edition which will throw the old f*cker into a deep depression and he'll retire quietly to Taos to watch the protesters bloom outside his window.

14. Doubtful.
They sink or swim together. They are all compromised in the same criminal enterprise of fabricating the evidence to create this occupation. Bush can't afford to lose control of the Pentagon....too many chances for more incriminating evidence to get leaked.

They sink or swim together.

15. I'd love for Rummy to take it for the team
and ride off into the sunset for the last time. But there's no way any of these cretins are going to apologize or admit to anything. This whole neocon movement is based on the idea of damn the facts, full speed ahead. Sorry is not in their vocabulary. If one of these worthless shits ran over a kid in the street they'd bash the parent for not having control over their children.

16. I thought Condi would be out on her wazoo by this time, too.
Such a blatant liar and so incompetent. But she's still there.

Let's face it. No changes in the "team" of perverts.
