Warning to DU-Moveon.org and Truth Uncovered Movie

Dear DU Family,
I want to warn you of a a scam linked to the MoveOn web site.
Nearly six months ago, I ordered 4 DVD copies of the
Truth Uncovered movie from the link provided on the Move On
web site. My credit card was billed and I eagerly awaited
the delivery.
WELL...several pleading emails later, an offer to pick the
fucking order up myself, despite the fact that I was also
charged delivery costs, STILL NO DELIVERY- NO REPLY.
I think the company is involved in internet fraud and I
will be suspect of the MoveOn gang forever more for
providing them customers by adverstising their link
on their web site.
I have written to Move On and told them of the situation.
We'll see if they continue to direct unsuspecting consumers
to their site to buy a movie that never arrives.

I am SO pissed off-
AS if the crooks in the White House were not enough
for us to deal with?
We have to chase down crooks among us as well?

I am filing a complaint against them both for internet fraud.
In the meantime- be warned-

UNCOVEREDMOVIE@aol.com
They are obviously ripping unsuspecting visitors to MoveOn off.
HOW CAN MoveON not KNOW about this?
Are they getting a kickback from the rip-off?
What do you'all think I should do?

Can you reverse the charges through your credit card company? They would be the best way to deal with it. Let them go after them.

it has been nearly six months now.
I have save every email I sent them and two
lame replies from them, the last in FEBRUARY,
which promised delivery in a "few days."

Being ripped off is bad enough, but when it comes from the "movement", it feels even worse.

I ordered the movie from MoveOn and received it in a timely manner.

MoveOn doesn't use aol.com addresses.

Can you provide a link to where the aol address appears
on the MoveOn website?

Was your credit card billed by MoveOn or some other party.

If it was MoveOn then take it up with them.

If not the you got suckered and should contact your
state attorney general and the postal fraud division
of the FBI.

And yes, I will pursue the matter.
I have the billing statement form my credit card
company for the DVDs that NEVER arrived.
What really pisses me off is that I ordered several copies
intended as gifts to be given on dates that are LONG
gone by.

I received my movies from these people.

I will forward this thread to them and MoveOn
maybe we can get them to make good on the order
or refund the money.

The movie is certainly very good and it sucks
that this is spoiling it for you.

I know that manufacturing can get tied up or
subcontractors can fail to perform but they
should still communicate and make it right.

SOME communication as to what the hell was going on,
or a refund!
SO simple.
For them to not respond is FUCKED up, and can only
leave me with one conclusion- I've been had.
I was extremely polite in all of my email correspondence
to them, but that is over- I plan to send the big boys in now.
We are stolen from daily by our so called government-
I really don't need to be ripped off by so-called "libruls" too.

Therefore, I see them as complicit in the fraud.
Would you direct visitors to your web site to
another site you knew was stealing money from people?

because that movie is very valuable at reminding

I emailed Moveon and told them I really doubted

It doesn't ring a bell that it had anything to do with AOL. The site listed on the back of my DVD is www.truthuncovered.com. I seem to recall that it was an outfit from NC that shipped it to me. But, I did order it from a link at moveon.org sometime last fall/early winter I think. PM me if you'd like me to put my hands on who actually charged my credit card.

But I was annoyed at the lag. I think they're back-ordered or something.
