Yesterday it was "Bush chides Rumsfeld," which we all know means "scold: to reproach or scold somebody gently"...but that headline came and went pretty fast.
For a while we had "Bush lets Rumsfeld know he's not happy" and I think we all did a collective "Oh NO! He's angered the Commander-In-Chief!" Well, this morning, CNN's headline-of-choice is:
"Source: Bush "Not Happy" With Defense Chief"
on the front page, and
"Official: Bush chastises Rumsfeld
Bush 'not happy' to learn of prison abuse via media"
on the main article (
http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/05/06/iraq.abuse.main/index.html)
All of the stories carry the same double photo of a pointing, peeved Dubya and a somewhat hurt-looking, slack jawed Rummy. Sort of like the old "Davey and Goliath" Sunday morning religious clay animation show, in which Goliath the dog would say "Awwwwwww geeeeee, Daveeee" in EVERY frikkin' episode.
