bush KNEW ABOUT THE ABUSES and condoned them
Edited on Thu May-06-04 10:01 AM by welshTerrier2
Reports of abuses by Americans in Iraq were clearly elevated to the highest levels in the bush administration ... there is substantial evidence that the dehumanization of Iraqi prisoners was being directed as part of an "intelligence" plan to break the spirit of the prisoners to get them to cooperate ... and don't forget, Tenet has repeatedly testified that he met with the "president" everyday to brief him ...

the only conclusion: BUSH KNEW ABOUT THE ABUSES AND CONDONED THEM !!!

4. Of course he did.
You could see that when the BBC caught him behaving rather Nero-ish, pumping his fist and say "feels good" on the eve of ordering us to war.

A war, it turns out, that HE KNEW WAS BASED ON A LIE.

No, the Busheviks haven't reached Hitler-level yet, but they sure are giving Ferd Marcos and Pinochet a run.

The only thing left that seperates us from them, in the big picture (not counting varying degrees/styles of the same Tyrannies), is that fact that we aren't being "disappeared" and that Right-Wing Death Squads don't prowl the streets at night, beating (they don't always kill, you know, in spite of the name) and intimidating and breaking up Opposition Meetings etc.

7. Plausible denyability
Even to oneself, President Bush is probably safe enough. He hear things like, "we are taking steps to get information from Iraqi prisoners," which, in and of itself, sounds laudable (information in a war zone is a precious commodity, and I hope we are trying to get it; torture, however, is way beyond the pale). He didn't hear specifics, and he didn't ask.

Now an awake and alert president like Clinton would have asked; and probably put a stop to it.

bush knew back in Jan about this abuse.he may not have seen the pictures.but the pictures put it all out front to what was going on.other wise it would have been swept under the rug...you just have to read yesterdays briefing with tip toeing Scotti ....not a pin point date on when bush knew.but some where around Jan 16..........check for yourselves.......its another.he knew when..

9. The movie Fahrenheit 911 could shed a lot of light on this subject...
...but we are now learning just how controlled our media are and how powerful the neo-con's are through using political and economic pressure. Imagine, a movie that can generate a billion dollars or more in revenues can be suppressed because the state of Florida has the power to lift state tax moratoriums on the Disney Company. Some how I have to believe that anti-trust laws are being violated here. We the public are the ones who suffer by having the truth kept from us.

10. Of course bush would approve, run it like a prison in Texas
Send them to death row - doesn't matter if guilty or not. Think about the sheriff out in Arizona that we've seen on TV several times and the things he has said and everyone thinks he's wonderful - he's a sicko and so is bush.
