FP in ecstasy over Kerry's bike accident
Doesn't the right wing have more important things to talk about? On another board, the two conservatives on the board are practically having orgasms over Kerry's bike accident, but are brutally indifferent to the events at Abu Ghraib to the point of condonement. What IS it with them? It's as though they are obsessed with every nuance of the presumptive nominess to the point of mental illness, just as they were obsessed about every element of Bill Clinton's terms in office. It seems to me that right wingnuts really need to get a life, instead of this dangerously warped behavior.

Regardless of that, however, it appears that they are so annoyed at the same time with our genuine distaste for all things Bush. The crack, "get over it" should be thrown back into their faces, and we should remind them that Clinton and party left the white house over 3 years ago--anything going wrong since January 20, 2001 is their idiot's fault, and that we've been silent too long about every issue, every corrupt event that has happened under the Bush regime.

I'm just blowing off a little steam--it irks me endlessly to have the RW obsession of Kerry's small mishaps blown out of perspective, to the point where an accident on a bike carries the same weight as the torture and humiliation of prisoners in an Iraqi prison. Sheesh.

1. The worse it gets for Bush/GOP...
...The more trivial crap they'll bring up about Kerry/Dems. Its on page 14 of the Right Wing playbook - under the "blow smoke" section.

Drudge was even trying to make hay about Kerry's "expensive" bike.

For fun at your other board, refer to this thread- you might drop some of these pix (or their links) into the mix:

Yeah, so Kerry fell off a bike.

Bush fell off a Segway.

Bush fell off a couch fer Chrissakes.

(Frankly, I'm convinced that the latter was because he ALSO fell off the wagon)

Hell, for over a year in 1972-73, he apparently fell off the face of the Earth!

Edited on Thu May-06-04 10:25 AM by GainesT1958
At least he didn't fall of one of those Segway ("It") Scooters immediately after getting on it, like another Yale alum we all know!:eyes:

Drudge needs to ride off into the sunset on his expensive tricycle...:eyes:

B-)

9. Yup, that's the way I look at it
Fall down, get laughed at, it's a two-way street.

But DAY-um, falling off a couch, that's fucked up.

10. The West Wing - Pilot
LAURIE: Tell your friend Potus that he’s got a funny name and he should learn how to ride a bicycle.
SAM: I would, but he’s not my friend, he’s my boss, and it’s not his name, it’s his title.
LAURIE: "Potus"?
SAM: President of the United States. I’ll call you.

11. They're thinking happy thoughts, trying to fly
"Happy thoughts, happy thoughts!"

Got to push out those nasty images, Peter says we'll never fly unless we think happy thoughts.
