2. I don't think so.
I think Rummy is one of the die-hard neo-cons, and it is him who is feeding all this neo-con crap into lil Dubya's head, not the other way around.

The person I think the person who could go majorly downtown on the Bush Admin if he is ever let go is St. Powell.

3. No
He will try and justify what he did and (in true Bush Administration fashion) try to lay the blame for failure at someone else's door.

4. I think he will
he has a big mouth and he loves publicity. He will slip up, even if he does it unintentionally.

6. No
He's no O'neil. He'll get a "golden parachute" of various board of director positions on Fortune 500 companies.

7. He would start selling weapons to the Pentagon (and N Korea)
within the hour.
But he won't be fired.

11. I'm not sure. Some Pugs are turing against this now.
I haven't heard any of them ask for his head yet, but public opinion has swayed them before, and rather fast.

I don't think he will turn on Bush though. He's in his 70's and already has his day in the sun. I can see him quiting to take some of the heat off of Shrub.

9. Rummy's ego is so big, he will not take the fall alone.
I would have loved to be a fly in the room when the chimp gave Rums a scolding. I can see Rums saying, "hold on. I told you about this in January. I have all the goods on the lead up to war in Iraq. You better step back."

It explains why the chimp has to publicly claim he still have confidence in the old torture hawk.

12. See, to me this is the only possible
positive angle of this whole thing. IF he were to start subscribing to his own 'Christian' dogma and begin to fear for his mortal soul (he's no spring chicken, y'know...)...there MIGHT be some hope he'd try to redeem himself by opening the floodgates on this evil shit heap of an administration.

Failing that, all that's gonna happen if they get rid of him is some other PNAC neo-con will take over. Same shit, different asshole. :eyes:

13. I say yes
Wasn't it just a few days ago that Rummy was telling some talking head that Bush didn't tell him we we're going to war before it started so that he could cover his ass? It seemed to me he was already trying to save his own skin by passing the buck to Bush (regarding the unethical run-up to war).

I think his ego would be so bruised by being canned, he would turn his guns on the Administration. He seems to be one mean and vindictive bastard. Just my opinion.

15. He won't and he wouldn't
Rummy's a PNAC signator. if anything, Bush will turn on Rummy, Cheney, Wolf, Jeb, etc - the ideologues. Bush has no ideology. But that's not likely as well seeing as he ignored his papa and staked his presidency on the advice of these crackpots & the voice of God.

16. No way
Rummy & Bush are cut from the same cloth.

If they wanted to REALLY get rid of Rummy (which they don't) - they could have easily done it after 9/11, since supposedly - it was Rummy's job to get air defenses up. He's in thick with these thieves. Besides, when has Bush ever held anybody responsible for any mistakes? Answer: Never

Criminal Mastermind: Donald Rumsfeld
