7. It's a joint press conference with King Abdullah
Bush said he told the King he was sorry about the prisoners being abused in Iraq.

13. Ah, but the way you worded it
he still didn't say the words "I'm sorry." Is that accurate? You say he claims he told King Abdullah he was sorry.

24. So the king deserves an apology but the people of Iraq don't.
What a friggin' slime ball.

36. Telling somone you apologized to someone is not apologizing
He should have done his apologizing to the public the day before, not in a private heads-of-state meeting.

before he does the right thing (apologize). Too late GWB. Also, try to show some sincerity in your words.

35. For a guy who's supposed to be decisive and stick to convictions
he won't do anything bold right out of the gate.

Why didn't he apologize on Al Arabia yesterday? Why didn't he fire Rumsfeld when it would have made a difference.

Why did he need Scott McKlellen to apologize for him yesterday.

Who in the world believes anything this guy does anymore.

This guy is going down, hard. I've been trying to think positively about getting rid of him in November, but this is the first time I'm really, really confident about it.

I just wish it could have been other circumstances. This is all just too painful to watch.

If Rangel hadn't been breathing fire about impeachment, he'd have kept on just being disgusted about it.

I say impeach him anyway. :grr:

22. He has always talked about the prisoner abuse story as if
he's covering his ass politically. I've never heard him say anything that led me to believe he cared what happened ot those people, just political rhetoric. Not an ounce of sincerety.

Today, he also sounds like he's just had a bad spanking.

That is so nice. I'm sorry. Now nobody will join al Qaeda. Everyone will stop hating us. I cannot tell you how disgusted I am . . .

Words just can't communicate my absolute disgust with this administration and this war.

42. Yup. You summed it up for me, Oddm.
I simply find myself unable to express in words how I feel right now (and believe me, I TRY).

I believe absolutely NONE of the excuses and alibis, shifting off the blame to someone else. It's their fault.

In all my business classes, the instructors always said, "a company is only as good as its management".

"I'm sorry this ugly mess came out in the open".

It's too convenient. He had a full oppoturnity yesterday and blows it, then after meeting with the King of Jordan, all of a sudden he discovers "I'm sorry."

Sounds like King A said "look, do you know how much you screwed up yesterday???"

Isn't the same thing as apologizing to the world when his dirty underwear came out in the open. What a sad sack of pathetic shit for a president we have.
