Check out the Freeper thread on Lynndie and the torture saga
Yes, there are some sane comments amid the grotesque.

Off-topic I wanted to reach through the radio yesterday and slap Hannity across the chops as he was trying to make excuses for these people.

Somehow he seems to have missed the point that this stuff has made our position in Iraq much more difficult, and it is likely that American soldiers will die as a result of the publicity that has followed.

1. Hannity has the haters all in a frenzy
between him and Rush, the "they deserved what they got" drumbeat has been going full force.

I was grateful to hear some people call in and call them on their hatred and lunacy.

I am ill. Some nimwit thinks "that picture is actually kind of funny". (The one with the guy on a leash)

I am ill beyond belief. What is wrong with those people? There ignorance will be their downfall.

4. might mean "funny" as in strange or off?

Maybe they don't believe the picture's real..that's how I read it. Otherwise it truly is a disgusting statement.

...and said the unit had been given orders to do whatever they needed to in order to get information on WMD programs or Al Qaeda groups.

Yeah, it came from the top. Yeah, it stinks. Yeah, all those people were humiliated for nothing, since neither existed in Iraq.

What a disgusting waste and mess and source of shame for every American.
