Anderson Cooper snidely bashes Liberals
This TV version of Matt Drudge just can't contain his personal hatred for Liberals. Brought up a study that a Liberal think tank did that concluded that the word "Liberal" was affiliated with weakness, so it was best to call yourself "Progressive"...

The venal way he handled this blurb was truly revealing...

Zahn, Cooper, Brown...

THEY ARE ALL COMPLICIT with the BuscCo Brownshirts and deserve to have their heads stuck on the same pike that will accomodate their political masters when the truth behind 9-11 is finally comprehended by the public.

2. Respectfully disagree. I saw the segment . . .
Edited on Thu May-06-04 07:15 PM by Tina H
I did not think he was being snide. I did not think the segment was critical of liberals, even though the segment did note the obvious: "liberal" is a word with bad connotations to many people. (not me, though!!!)

I have only seen a couple bits of his shows on various evenings, and I don't have any idea how he is in general. The bits I have seen, seem to be breezy and try to be funny (not always successful). I thought the "liberals" segment fell right into this pattern.

On edit: fuller explanation

6. in fact
If that study is the same one they mentioned on crossfire, I think it was done by a liberal think tank. It was advice to Democrats because, as you said, "liberal" *is* viewed as a bad word by many.

8. I was going to say that . . .
but didn't because I was afraid there might be some issue or doubt about whether the think tank he mentioned really was liberal.

We've all got agendas, alright. Woe to you, the one person who has pierced the veil.

Oh no! I'm late to my Illuminati meeting! I must be going.

10. You haven't heard?
Read the NY Times today. Then try and craft a story we'd beleive why the FAA would destroy evidence...

14. Oh, it's sketchy to be sure.
But I fail to see how not charging the President with treason is evidence of their "agenda."

12. Oh No! You're mocking me!
I was called "loony" when I wrote that the bin laden family was flown out of the US the day after 9-11.

So, keep it up. I only seek the truth. Unlike CNN. They try and craft it for the sheeple.

15. He's about as liberal as you'll find in the media these days
and he makes it clear with allot more zeal than Brown ever would.

13. And all kinds of people here were praising CNN evening programs and
hosts - about two days ago.

Don't hold out hope, their CEOs and Murdoch will reign in any reformists within hours.

17. How easily you are fooled...
There's a reason, after BushCo stole the election, that CNN revamped their image. In fact, they had all their changes in place just in time for 9-11. Too coincidental for me. Plus, Mike Malloy himself told me that while he worked there during Gulf War I that Military Intelligence basically moved into the Corporate board room and took over. He believes it's still going on - only far more overtly now.
