Bush Pissed at Rumsfeld.
You probably already know this but appearently this shit with torture has been going on since at least December. So appearently Bush is pissed that he did not know about any of this before he heard about it on T.V. So is Bush pissed because Rumsfeld didn't tell him or because it got leaked to the press? What do you think?

10. CBS had a video
this am, but it's pulled now..General Peter Pace gave a press conference and was ASKED if Bush knew....he replied "YES". Someone posted that if anyone knew how to copy that video, to do so because it would be pulled, and surer than shit, it was.

4. It's a ploy.
Pure politics. Shrub takes Rummy to the woodshed and looks good because it's not his fault. (We have to keep things like this away from the leader of the free world; he can only handle so much in one day.)

As I previously posted, we'll get to the bottom of this mess, but not to the top.

5. pissed but not at rumsfeld
As you say, he's pissed it was leaked, will allow others to say he's pissed at rumsfeld, like he'll allow others to say he's sorry. All he wants to do is smooth things over till the public forgets about it. And the furor might even serve a propose here at home, as the battles going on in Iraq are receiving little attention.

Powell Aides Go Public on Rift With Bush
By Gary Younge
The Guardian U.K.
Thursday 06 May 2004

Chief of staff says secretary of state is fed up with apologising for the administration and is disdainful of ´ideological´ hawks.

Colin Powell´s key aide has described US sanctions policy against countries such as Pakistan and Cuba as "the dumbest policy on the face of the Earth".

In an article in GQ magazine Larry Wilkerson, chief of staff of the United States secretary of state, bemoans Mr Powell´s firefighting role in President George Bush´s cabinet.

"He has spent as much time doing damage control and, shall we say, apologising around the world for some less-than-graceful actions as he has anything else."

Powell Would Not Want to Serve 4 More Years, Aide Says.

WASHINGTON - Secretary of State Colin Powell is weary and would not want to serve another full four years under President Bush, a close aide was quoted as saying on Wednesday.

"He´s tired. Mentally and physically," Powell´s chief of staff, Larry Wilkerson, who has known the retired general for 15 years, is quoted as telling GQ Magazine. <...>

Re: Does Powell Want Out?

I don´t blame him.
Can you imagine, Rumsfeld not resigning over all this torture and abuse?

Want an easy way out Colin? Hand in your resignation and say you can´t stand the smell.

That would make you a real presidential hopeful 4 years from now.

9. We now have *proof* that Bush doesn't want to hear bad news.
... and history has shown time and time again leaders who don't want the truth lead their societies to failure.

It's time to get an adult back in the White House. I'm voting for Kerry, I'm passionate about Kerry because he's an adult.

on Larry King last night. I wanted to puke he was sooo much a kiss up to Bush.
He didn't look tired about defending Bush at all.

If he can lie like this, he needs to step down now.
