Been thinking about this ever since Olberman's show the other night where he showed the 3 emails he got with talking points for Joe wilson (not to mention his comment about the WH attempting to get him to telephone). Add that to the Letterman fidgety-boy story, and Kerry's comment about the RNC points on his morning interview...
and I think this is a story unto itself. Means that there is at least one position and possibly an office whose sole purpose is to monitor the media and respond immediately to anything that threatens the party line. Also means that we pay for it through our taxes, so we, essentially, pay for our news to be censored.
When Olberman or any other media person gets an email is it from a specific person or, like, WHITEHOUSEINFO@WHITEHOUSE.ORG so that the sender is a faceless, anonymous watcher? Do the news media people know who they're talking with and go to lunch with them?
Somebody knows this. Seems to me that this is a story in itself that deserves to be covered.
