Bush Demands Prisoners' Humane Treatment
Mar 23, 2003 1:26 PM ET

By SCOTT LINDLAW, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - President Bush demanded Sunday that any American troops held captive in Iraq be treated humanely. He said he was pleased with the progress of the war.

...Bush, returning to the White House from Camp David, said he did not have all the details, but expected that Iraq treat any prisoners "humanely, just like we'll treat any Iraqi prisoners."

....."We're slowly but surely achieving our objective," Bush said. "We're just in the beginning phases. We're executing a plan."

Asked whether there was a possibility of an Iraqi surrender, he said: "All I know is we got a game plan, a strategy to free the American people from Saddam Hussein and rid his country" of weapons of mass destruction."

I think they will treat them humanely, just to prove taht
they do follow the Geneva and Muslim law, unlike we...

And bush does not even get it...

2. I think that this "technology thing" might be unpatriotic and
undermine the war effort. (sarcasm) Now can we get in the media to apply this to our current situation?

Good find!

Did he really say he wanted to free Americans from Saddam?

I think the chimp might have suffered a talking point seizure.

4. Yeah, I remember a lot of commentary about that at the time.
Who knows what he wanted to say! I doubt if even he knew.
