Our Girl Lynndie, born in Kentucky.
Now can we be nicer to our West Virginia Folks?

And let's not start on Kentucky, OK? We're all in this together and she's an American, just like we are.

1. bush said "Rumsfeld has served his country well" - okay -
so did Ms. England - until?? Should bush say the same about Ms. England and Rumsfeld? Just wondering.

3. Poorly stated, perhaps.

I mean my post about Lynndie being from Kentucky. It's just that I felt so sorry for our WV bretheren yesterday when lots of folks on DU were bashing them.

Hey, I'm a softie at heart and our WV folks were getting angry, really angry.

Isn't that the Dem way? (or used to be?) Stick up for the oppressed?

2. Don't Be So Hard On Her
Remember, this was the first time in her short life that she had seen so much male genitalia at one time not belonging to close relatives.

And by the way, she was from Fort Ashby, West Virginia and belonged to a Guard unit in Maryland, somewhere near Cumberland.

6. This is the kind of remark that Republicans loved to make
about people from Arkansas when Clinton was President and believe this native born Arkie didn't appreciate it.

4. It is hard for me not to be hard on her.
Common decency should have told her humiliation and torture were wrong. If she looked like an unwilling participant, maybe I could show some sympathy but she was having the time of her life! She wanted pictures to take home as souvenirs!

No sympathy from me.

5. She is on the front page of USA Today and some other newspapers
It is the photo of her with the leash. They showed the article on Cspan. She is a national disgrace.
