bush "this is not the america i know"
which america does he know? here is a moron who has failed in everything he has tried; who broke the law by authorizing the purchase of his soon to be bankrupt company while serving on the board of harken; who knows nothing about the daily grind; has never known hunger or anxiety; a person to whom lying is a way of life; who was (and still is) an alcohollic; who was convicted on dui charge, who, contrary to the average american, looks on others outside his circle as being nothing more than stepping stones and who comes from a family of war profiteers, embezzlers (s&l's anyone?) and criminals (poppa in cia).
why on earth would the average freeper who has to struggle to make a living think bush is like him?

3. america is this way because Bush cultivated those reactions
and then pretends to be shocked. HA!

This is BushCo's 'Murika. Brutal thugs and killers all (Except for those of us who still remember when America was a respected nation internationally).

* has made barbarianism fashionable. :-(

The Misunderestimated Man
How Bush chose stupidity.
By Jacob Weisberg

http://slate.msn.com/id/2100064/

<snip>

The question I am most frequently asked about Bushisms is, "Do you really think the president of the United States is dumb?"

The short answer is yes.

The long answer is yes and no.

<snip>

The most obvious expression of Bush's choice of ignorance is that, at the age of 57, he knows nothing about policy or history. After years of working as his dad's spear-chucker in Washington, he didn't understand the difference between Medicare and Medicaid, the second- and third-largest federal programs. Well into his plans for invading Iraq, Bush still couldn't get down the distinction between Sunni and Shiite Muslims, the key religious divide in a country he was about to occupy. Though he sometimes carries books for show, he either does not read them or doesn't absorb anything from them.

<snip>

A second, more damning aspect of Bush's mind-set is that he doesn't want to know anything in detail, however important. Since college, he has spilled with contempt for knowledge, equating learning with snobbery and making a joke of his own anti-intellectualism. (" wrote a book at Yale; I read one," he quipped at a black-tie event.)

11. This is the America I know
This is the America that strung a gay guy up to die on a fence.
This is the America that dragged an elderly black man to his death.
This is the America that killed a Siki gas station attendant.
This is the America that wounded a young girl at a family planning clinic.

These aren't isolated incidents. This is us.

13. Where police stick broom handles up innocent men's rectums....
.....and don't even get me started on our OWN prison system....and o'course there's HAZING activities in college and high schools...oh say like the skull'n'bones....and what happened at Columbine or countless other schools where it's commonplace for CHILDREN to bully and torture eachother...crime dramas are THE most popular shows on TV....and the very people who're tortured and abused in this whole scandal..their religion promotes the very same kind of behavior... blowin' themselves up for salvation.....these are just a few more examples...the list goes on and on...
