It's probably been brought up already....
But anyone else think there's a chance these tortured solider pics came up in an attempt to provoke more violence against Americans so that Bush can really play up the defence card this election?

4. No, I Don't Think So
I think this has hurt Bush more than any other event in the last 3 years. I think increased violence in Iraq would hurt him even more and I think another attack on the USA, in country, would be his absolute downfall. Don't get me wrong, I think he's dead meat already anyway, but the worse it gets for the US the worse it gets for Bush, in my opnion.

5. I don't agree with that theory. The reason these pictures came out is
because inspite of the disgusting things they depict. Someone observing it, who might have even participated in it, knew it was wrong. That should give everyone hope that we can move beyond this eventually and the entire western world won't be painted as evil as Bin Laden and his pretenders say we are.

8. Just thinking about posting that

When all evidence, actions, and language points towards a deliberate attempt to bring about the a conclusion that is precisely what is reflected by reality then you must assume that the reality you observe was the intended goal all along.

10. disagree
this can only hurt him. He only has a small chance of wiggling out and even if he does it still will cost him support.

With all of the terrible things he has done and lied about (and gotten away with) it is unbelievable that one will finally stick. And it's not even the biggest scandal in his pResidency.

11. Not the biggest scandal for us
but a very huge scandal worldwide. More than scandal ~ catastrophe.

13. This hurts Bush greatly
Kerry will win in Nov unless he fucks up badly, or Nader spoils.
