When will the other shoe drop?

There can be little doubt that there are far worse photographs of US troops abusing Iraqis in Abu Ghraib and other prisons. So do you think we'll see these photos soon? Next week? Next month? Why haven't we seen them already?

The whole point of freedom of press is so that if the government does something horrible, the people can be told about it. Yet the pessimist in me worries these photos will never see the light of day. I worry it will be considered classified information (illegally), it will be called criminal evidence and withheld, it will be considered "too graphic" and the FCC will fine news organizations for showing it. And that would be one of the greatest injustices of the whole mess.

and the problem is a whole lot bigger than this one prison. According to Sy Hersh....stay tuned.

..that's bound to fall, and really win the hearts of the Arab world, will be when they find out a US company is stealing their oil money. I can't think of anything worst, so, it's bound to be the next blow to the rightous regime.

Americans could care less if there is a one shoe man in charge or not.

As long as they are comfortable, the will support the propaganda , which they will sincerely believe because they are too lazy to investigate futher. And., why should they , when they are so engrossed in providing for themselves and their children all the luxuries that this rich country provides, in order that they may augment their patethically poor self image with the image of the rich person--they will latch on to that--they , after all, if they support Bush and the rich Republicans, can by default, also view themselves as rich--or at the least, the upwardly mobile family, even though the parents are lacking in any education whatsoever and the children think that it is not necessary to have 'learning" in order to become millionaires. It is the striving that has been inaugurated into the children--make a million or more dollars and be assured that your self image will be perfect.

I, kinda, remember that.
