1933-1945........still 'defining' Germany to many, including many in the US

so at least 60 years

who's going to Europe this summer?????

Essentially Germany turned it's back on the Enlightenment, and went fascist. I see the same thing, or traces of the same thing happening in this country.

You know, we went through all of this in the 1700s (fighting the religious extremists, tyranny, etc.) here we go again.

The Iraqi torture is nothing like the Holocaust. It is not a Genocide.
So please: don't equate the Holocaust to recent events.

As to going to Europe: I don't think that a Canadian flag will help much: most people do not blame tourists for the actions of their government. Those who are willing to get violent are usually too dumb to understand the concept of Canada not being part of the US anyway.
Expect being asked questions; from what I've heard service will be *very* good if you manage to break the ice :thumbsup:.
