1. It's silly
Congress CAN pass legislation that overrules supreme court opinions, or seek to begin the process of amending the constitution to overturn an opinion.

SCOTUS of course is then free to declare such legislation unconstitutional if there is a constitutional issue involved.

2. I agree.
Congress can't change the US Constitution with a statute.

The bill is meaningless.

4. You are probably correct, but
why, then, are they even trying? There must be some reasons why they would do this. I have my thoughts on the matter, but hope for ideas from others.

3. Yep....sounds unconstitutional to me. I bet the SCOTUS will agree!
How can Rep. Lewis justify such nonsense? Honestly! With all of the serious issues that need to be addressed in this country, what kind of a nitwit is clogging up the agenda with crap like this? Lewis and others who support this should be caned!

5. WTF? That is the most unconstitutional nonsense crap I have ever heard.
It is pure unfiltered evil.

It is a true attempt to usurp the wishes and intent of the Founding Fathers that so many right-wingers and fundies act like they adore but really truly despise.

It would destroy any hope for social justice like we saw with desegration of American schools.

Horrible idea.

7. Another "vote" to provde cover for the Repigs...
Many of these meaningless bills simply allow asses that vote or sponser them to say "I tried" to the trolls that vote for them. Politics most vile, plain and simple.
