5. I would hope, that if those are in fact tears...
that they are tears of understanding behind the countless number of wrong-doing that this administration has been responsible for.

7. Unfortunately, they have not fallen yet.
We'll have to wait til November for that.

If any of these fools were honorable, they'd do what some of the CEOs and government higher-ups in Japan do - they resign. Or "fall on their swords." NOBODY'S done that here. Wouldn't even consider it, because that would take true nobility, honor, and adulthood. Sad to say their platitude about "the adults" being "back in charge" is nothing more than an empty slogan.

I missed this. Watched more of the Senate committee hearing than the House one. I'm skeptical about how real and legitimate this was. I think if there's any sincere regret, it's mostly because this came out, period; came out in a way they couldn't control; and because they've had to trouble themselves with all this ridiculous bother in public. These are sneaky, secretive, imperious people who don't care to be questioned, defied, or challenged, insisting on silent compliance. And because they've been spoiled by the pablum they get from a completely cowed and docile media, this threw 'em for a loop and made 'em look bad on TV. This didn't work out the way they're accustomed to things working out. Their status quo is being messed with. He's probably grimacing over the appointments/lunches/hobknobbing he had to cancel today.

9. Crocodile tears.
We were told the story of the crocodile as kids. The story goes that after the crocodile eats a person, he "cries" because he regrets his "bad deed". Actual tears come out of his eyes, and everyone feels sorry for "croc".

Years later, scientists discovered that the crocodile exudes tears because it's hard on his digestion and that's why he "cries".

Same thing with Good Old Don. He's crying about being in trouble. He sees his illustrious career going up in smoke. He's wondering if he can support himself on his poetry, now that he's about to get kicked out.

10. Didn't you get the impression that what he was sorry for was
that the "classified" pictures were "illegally" leaked to the media? He wasn't as upset about the content. He sure told us what his real priorities are.

I hope Congress gets the balls to dump the lot of them.
