1. with or without the abuse/torture I'd sign it anyway

--by the way, where did you get the 64,000 figure? I didn't see it on Kerry's site (but admit I didn't look very hard).

2. personally I'm not too comfortable with Cahill doing this...
it plays right into the hands of a defensive WH saying Democrats are politicizing this when you have Kerry's campaign manager organizing petition calls. Let them drown themselves, don't make it appear we're drowning them.

5. Why the hell not? They'd be mounting an anvil to Clinton and tossing him
into the Potomac if this had been reversed.

I say LET THEM HAVE IT!

... but then, that's just me.

7. It concerned me too
but then as I looked at the timeline and realized that there is a cover up it didn't seem to be political. Kerry is a U.S. Senator and within his right to ask for accountibility from the WH. And as the leader of the opposition party, it's his duty to make the charge against torture and cover up. And finally, who else has the nads to do it? If he didn't make a bold move no-one else would. He also has asked for Rumsfeld's resignation early in the Iraq campaign

WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 (2003)- Democratic presidential candidates Howard Dean and John Kerry have called for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to resign, citing a “pattern of deception” in his statements on Iraq and a failure to plan for the postwar period.

6. Great . . .
Everybody should sign, but they should have it multiple choice:

Who do you think should resign bush or Rumsfeld?
