The Bush administration reeks of the stench of death....and doom....and degradation..
If the Clinton administration reeked of ANYTHING, it was prosperity, relative peace, camaraderie between friendly nations, and until the republicans got their panties in a twist,we had an optimistic outlook on life.
There were terrorists then too, but they were tracked down and dealt with. The WTC was probably "in the works" back then, but just as they had thwarted the Millennium Plot, I have this idea in my head that this one would have been found out in time too.
No matter what troubles Clinton was having in his personal life, we always knew that he was doing his job.
By contrast, the Bush administration has done precious little except campaign, vacation, and blame others. Oddly, after achieving the job he claimed to want, and doing it in such an ugly way, he seems to have little "feel for the job"..even after 3 1/2 years. The only thing Bush has done that was not "re-active", was to pre-emptively start a Holy War. That's not a ringing endorsement, by any standard.
Even with the horrid details of torture and the ever-climbing US soldier death toll, our next president MUST go before the UN and state in no uncertain terms, that America is REBORN..The stench of the previous administration must be acknowledged, in front of the nations of the world. He must start his administration off with a promise to change things...to work together..and to renounce all the heavy handed tactics Bush used.
If he does this, he will no doubt regain the support of most nations of the world. We will need their real support in hunting down the religious zealots who have been stirred up by the Bush administration.
The first order of business is to STOP meddling into the affairs of other countries.
It's always cheaper and easier to feed the poor people, and help them to better themselves, than it is to go to war against them.
Rejoining the world community, and ridding the world of the stench of the warmongers is the best theme for any candidacy.
