I'll tell you, I don't get paid for what I do but it sure as hell is work. I've seen and verified Tinore's 'work' and trust it implicitly. Now who are YOU again, and why should I care?

That said, Ms. Tinoire is an excellent lady, who adds a great deal to this place. We disagree on a number of things, but that hardly affects my view of her.

I am in the US Air Force and I have served in Iraq. While in Iraq I was not allowed to post to chat forums on government computers. This would explain why I was absent from DU for awhile. (Some of you said I was scared of being banned) I was their from August to December 2003. Just because I served in Iraq does not mean I supported the war.

I admit, I have been critical of Nader, and my man in the primaries was Wes Clark. After Clark step out, I have supported John Kerry. I did not feel Howard Dean could beat Bush in the election. So I was real supported of him either.

I do support the US Military, but I do not condone the abuse/torture of any prisoners or civilians.

I have never supported a war with Iraq.

Just to say you never have, or that you don't, isn't really making your case.

What is it, precisely, about this war that you don't support?

I would also like to point out why the families of soldiers are getting paid money for leading a normal life? If their husband or wife is away fighting for this country, why not get a job?? Support yourself. Try to lead a normal life and support your loved ones. That is the problem with this country, too much fucking welfare. I swear this counrty will fall because Americans are becoming lazy, arrogant, and too stupid to work and fend for themselves.

As an american who has lived and worked in other countries, i can honestly say, the dixie chicks comments did nothing to staunch the flow of anti-american protesting, but actually fed the already burning flames of anti-americanism. Lest we forget, the horror of 9/11, everyone was angry that day, have we forgotten our feelings of horror as we watched 3500 american, french, german and other nationalities perish? It was not just american people that died that day.
