Limbaugh: "Prison Abuse Brilliant"

On his May 6 radio show, Rush Limbaugh continued to defend U.S. military personnel accused of abusing Iraqi prisoners, comparing the abuse photos to "good old American pornography":

LIMBAUGH: All right, so we're at war with these people. And they're in a prison where they're being softened up for interrogation. And we hear that the most humiliating thing you can do is make one Arab male disrobe in front of another. Sounds to me like it's pretty thoughtful. Sounds to me in the context of war this is pretty good intimidation -- and especially if you put a woman in front of them and then spread those pictures around the Arab world. And we're sitting here, "Oh my God, they're gonna hate us! Oh no! What are they gonna think of us?" I think maybe the other perspective needs to be at least considered. Maybe they're gonna think we are serious. Maybe they're gonna think we mean it this time. Maybe they're gonna think we're not gonna kowtow to them. Maybe the people who ordered this are pretty smart. Maybe the people who executed this pulled off a brilliant maneuver. Nobody got hurt. Nobody got physically injured. But boy there was a lot of humiliation of people who are trying to kill us -- in ways they hold dear. Sounds pretty effective to me if you look at us in the right context.

Still, Limbaugh says it's no different from a pop concert or homoerotic pornography:

LIMBAUGH: The thing though that continually amazes -- here we have these pictures of homoeroticism that look like standard good old American pornography, the Britney Spears or Madonna concerts or whatever, and yet the Libs upset about the mistreatment of these prisoners thought nothing of sitting back while mass graves were being filled with three to 500,000 Iraqis during the Saddam Hussein regime.

On his May 5 show, Limbaugh attributed the American public's outrage over the allegations to "feminization":

LIMBAUGH: I think a lot of the American culture is being feminized. I think the reaction to the stupid torture is an example of the feminization of this country.

I was listening the other day...on Tuesday i believe, before the info about the rape/murder images came out. I guess he was so caught up in damage control that he didn't realize there could be more to the situation than hooded nudies parading around the jail corridors.
This was the day when he drew the "frat-prank" analogy. A self proclamed "Christian Conservative, true Rush beleiver" called in and took issue with that analogy. She said theis was the first time EVER that she had disagreed with the his holy dipshitness. He tried to reel her back in but i think she was truly disgusted by the whole thing. And now there's more. I guess frat pranks now include murder, rape and sodomy.

Several rushbots, in fact. And it is the photos that are doing it -- I am sure that just words and descriptions by The Red Cross, Amnesty Int., would not have done the job. They have had their faces pushed into a pile of steaming dogshit, and they are finally getting the message. Some of them, anyway.

Oh, yeah, and wait til the rape and snuff videos surface, and the old lady as a donkey video. Only hardcore assholes (and there are still plenty of them, unfortunately) will be able to defend THAT shit.

Here's Rush's sociological evaluation of what really happened at Abu Ghraib, as quoted in a piece in The New Republic on Limbaughism:

"This is no different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation, and we're going to ruin people's lives over it, and we're going to hamper our military effort, and then we are going to really hammer them because they had a good time. You know, these people are being fired at every day. I'm talking about people having a good time, these people, you ever heard of emotional release? You heard of need to blow some steam off?"

Now, don't you feel like a dopey dittohead for letting a little outbreak of prisoner sadism bug you? These were just boys and girls blowing off steam during a stressful situation. Let's not make an international incident out of it, for crying out loud.

Apparently he can't imagine the reaction of an American parent to see his/her children being treated in a similar way.

This is more than just a prank. This is an embarrassment and a humiliation to those who are suffering in this way. It is a shame to their parents.

He is incapable of understanding any perspective but his own, because he is a selfish bastard. He cares about no one but himself, and is interested only in personal enrichment. Perhaps a bit of suffering in his life would make him understand...

Limpballs go to prison over his drug shopping charge. Then, as he is getting his salad tossed in prison have a guard explain that it's just the prison's way of "letting off a little steam". No big deal Rushbo, just harmless fun for the inmates and guards. He'd be crying and screaming, telling EVERYONE what torture it is within the prison system.
Limbaugh is the most vile POS on the airwaves. I only hope that some sort of Karmic justice catches up with him.

Firstly, there is the photo of the man who was beaten to death already.

Secondly, things happen which aren't photgraphed.

There are 24 prisoner deaths at the hands of the US under investigation.

Limbaugh knows that his minions will drop him in a second if he does that. He knows that his status and wealth and power exists only so long as he tells his ditto-monkeys what they want to hear. He is as disposable as a soiled diaper.

The quickest way for Limbaugh to return to his top-40 turntable past is to have a few moments of heart-felt contrition and honesty.

Other than that I don't think Jeff Christie/Rush Limbaugh knows the difference between consensual homoeroticism and the other kind. To Rush it is all the same, like the rest of his life. He is gay and in denial.

Rush is spinning (things) out of control. He's saying this atrocity is justified as it's a precursor to interrogation. Well, thanks to little Libbie England (I'm not taking time to find the whore's real name) and her buddy grinning and such in half those pictures, I'm doubtful this had anything to do with interrogation. Even if it did, it's still WRONG.

I have found this phrase to be very useful.
