Something is bubbling under the surface....?
http://www.jointogether.org/gv/news/alerts/reader/0,2061,570658,00.html

Rockford, IL - Michael J. Breit of Rockford had a lot of hate, and a lot of ammunition, when he was arrested earlier this week after firing an AK-47 in his apartment here.

Federal agents say they recovered seven guns, more than 1,300 rounds of ammunition, pipe bomb making components and other explosives, a list of government officials and political and public figures with the word "marked" written next to them, and a written plan for 15 heavily armed men to kill 1,500 people at a Democratic presidential meeting.

Breit's library included The Turner Diaries, the anti-government cult novel that inspired Timothy McVeigh, and Guns, Freedom and Terrorism, the book authored by National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre, investigators said.

Breit has been charged with explosives violations. It was unclear whether he would face weapons violations as well.

The 1994 assault weapons ban outlawed the sale of certain models of AK-47s as well as copycats, along with other weapons. The ban is scheduled to expire on September 13 unless President Bush prods Congress to act.

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence begins an aggressive four-month campaign to save the assault weapons law in the coming days. The kickoff is the "Million Mom March Mother's Day March to Halt The Assault" at the U.S. Capitol in Washington DC May 9.

1. Hummm Our Little Terrorists

Isn't it sad that we are looking all over the world for these Brown "teraist" and we have some apparently White "teraist"right here at home.

Let's see how quick they get to the real bottom of this, I bet that Charlston Heston and his gang are deep into this nut case.

I have always believed that Tim McVeight was into something like this or worse.

2. Been following the news on the Terry Nichols trial?
Lots of indications that Nichols & McVeigh were part of something bigger...

5. Where did McVeigh Get His Ammo?

I am just curious because McVeight is from a very rural part of "Gun Country" Michigan.

Please forgive me if this sounds bizarre but I'll say it anyway. There are many Muslims in the Michigan area. Just yesterday I heard on the radio that Tim Mc was seen in his truck in Oklahoma with a "Brown" man that had a hat on.

Is it too far fetched that Tim was so fascinated with ammo and NRA issues that he hooked up with an OBL operative and didn't know it??
Why in the hell would he go to Oklahoma of all places when he lived close by Ford, GM and other sites near by.

I know... I'm nuts.

8. Isn't he from Pendleton - in Western New York - just outside Buffalo?
Or is it the other sub-human - Nichols?

I know one of them is from Pendleton - it's still a big story in WNY.

11. Maybe it is Nichols

All I know is that there is a lot of activity from these kind in upper Michigan. About a five hour drive from Pontiac.

9. Actually, there have been stories/rumors/accounts of that for years

Beyond the specific allegations of the 'second guy in the truck' in Oklahoma, there is substantial proof that these domestic 'white superiority' militants are receiving training and weapons from various foreign militant movements, including al Queda.

Part of Terry Nichols' trial rest on his attending a meeting of this kind in the Phillippines.

I've also had the unfortunate experience of bumping up against his kind on some Russian web forums, and they are quite openly backing al Queda (of course, since it's the web, who the hell knows who they really are).

These accounts go all the way back to when some of these groups got their start as quasi-official 'state militias' under Reagan/Bush (back then, much of their cooperation seemed to be with the IRA and various Libyan/Palestinian groups).

Chip Berlet is one independant journalist who's been on the trail of these groups for a long time. I recommend reading his material for more information.

12. There was a story on All Things Considered last night
about this that was one of those "Driveway Moments" for me.

It not only showed McVeigh as associated with this Aryan Republican Group, but also suggested that the FBI had refused to even run the many other fingerprints they found in McVeigh's motel room, which supposedly would have led to the Aryan Republicans.

I don't understand the why the FBI didn't follow these leads. It really reminds one of the lead up to the later disaster.

4. Yikes
Does anyone really think Ashcroft is going to go after these people? Hell no -- they're part of Bush's base. They need for us to feel threatened, to be threatened.

10. Frightening movie, and probably so close to the truth that it is
spooky. I tell all my acquaintances about it so they won't think it's only the "brown people" who can do them in.

15. Another theme found in it is the ease with which people are
pacified. I think that people are too quick to dismiss things on the basis of a token--or, in the case of the movie, a false--act on the part of the government. That's why I don't want Rumsfeld fired; it would then be too easy for the administration to wash its hands of the torture it has authorized and is pursuing. And won't stop pursuing unless the public is watching them.

Not that the public's attention span is all that long, anyway. :(

7. Priorities people.
The "clothing" of naked statues, busting cancer victims for marijuana, and going after pornographers is MUCH more important than this! The regime has made a few high profile examples of "ecoterrorists" who harm SUVs, move along now there is NO threat from these rightwing groups.

I hope everyone knows I'm being VERY sarcastic.

13. Bush won't be prodding congress... expect it to expire.
the little twerp* would want us all to own that the army has because it's in "the 2nd amendment". :eyes: x(

Some people thought McVeigh was a militant liberal. That was a lie then, and this new situation proves it to be a bigger falsity. 1500 people at a DEMOCRATIC presidential meeting were his targets. (D). Not (R). That's not the sign of a liberal, not even a green. Only a (R) or (L).

This dude they caught is a danger, he should be locked up with the key melted and lock fused.

16. He must be an Ann Coulter fan
Probably planned to write her a love letter after he killed as many people as he could.

This hate mongering in this country needs to stop. People like Ann Coulter and Michael Savage need to be held accountable for what spews from their lie-holes.
