USA Today Poll: 53% Say Rumsfeld Should Stay
And I say GOOD. Let the creep stay and take more heat. Don't allow him the become the scapegoat for BushCo. Don't allow them to say "Look it's all taken care of - we fired Rumsfeld."

More and more info will come out and it will only serve to make people more p.o.'d Let them see what BushCo condones and thinks is "A Good Job."

Let it look like the "Pubbies" have won their little battle - they will eventually lose the war.

I have to say it is disheartening that people are not outraged enough to want him fired but in the long run - this hopefully means that they will continue to be angry at the current leadership - nothing's changed as a result of this scandal.

1. Let's Kick It

I'm sure this can get closer to the truth than these numbers.

2. We can fire him officially in November
Take away the head of the snake (*) and the rest of its body (cabinet) will go along with it

3. Precisely my thoughts.
If Rumsfeld is fired, then the administration will be able to wash its hands of the entire thing, and the torture will not only go on in Iraq and other places, but the people will no longer think about it. They'll consider it a closed case.

I'm not ready to see him go off to his million-dollar-a-year speaking tour just yet. Let him continue to do this job under intense scrutiny instead. Perhaps it will ease some of the abuses taking place in his name--which is my primary concern.

4. USA Today.......

USA Today is a right-wing newspaper. Their polls are all biased.

I would not beleve any poll put out by a media outlet. Especially an
internet poll on a website. That poll is basically worthless, it's an unscientific
quick poll on a website. It could have been freeped, and or someone
could have run a multi-vote program on it.

That poll is not worth a dime.

If I ran that same poll on my website 80 to 90 percent would say he should
resign, my poll would also be worthless. It would be on a website that has 80
to 90 percent liberal visitors.

To get any kind of credible poll it has to be done in a scientific way where 50
percent Democrats are sampled and 50 percent Republicans are sampled.

If the sample is taken by 80 percent Republicans and 20 percent Democrats
how do you think the poll will come out ?

It will come out 80/20, that is what vote.com does. They have a membership
that's 80 to 90 percent Republican, so all their polls come out 80/20 or 90/10
in the Republicans favor.

Any poll that does not tell you the ratio of Democrats to Republicans who took
the poll is bogus. And all internet polls are worthless.

6. If Rumstud is fired it might make people
think the prez is doing his job by getting rid of him. It might inflate his polls. We don't want that. If he doesn't fire him it makes him look weak. I can see it both ways and frankly don't know which is worse. Rummy may become the scapegoat in this administration but how it plays out I do not have a clue. Ultimately we know who should resign but that is not going to happen. I just can't understand why so many people still support GW. Are they just swayed by his "religious" bearing or are they just plain stupid. I watched C-Span this morning while Sen. Allard was on and the pubbies that called in while I was watching were aflame about Dems playing politics.

10. Results still the
same. What could be going through the minds of those who think he should stay? The same goes for many from our side, do they think he is a large liability if he stays? I for one have had it with the lack of responsibility and consequences every member of our regime receives. The crimes keep getting worse and worse and they skate on by, shit does anyone remember how a consenual blowjob resulted in the impeachment of an ELECTED President? I'm sick of this.
