I'm trying to plan for the future. The election will be here before we know it and it's my belief that this election will be a true seminal decision for the country.
I support kerry. Rather reluctantly because I think he's running a campaign that's just about as inspiring as gore did last time. Of course he's not as far left as I would like but then no one but Kusinich is. But that's all right, I'll support anyone but bush.
Now comes the problem. With the media supporting bush, and we all know that the media has a huge influence on the electorate, I worry that the great unthinking public will be pushed towards bush and we'll see four more of this asshole.
If bush is in for four more years, I fear that the country will not recover in my lifetime. So in the event that kerry is not elected, we will be looking for a new place to live. If I were still young, I wouldn't move, I'd join whatever revolutionary movement came along. But I'm no longer young, and just want some place that my wife and I can live out our lives in relative comfort. I'd love canada, but my wife (a florida native) can't take the cold.
So we are open for suggestions on a place that at least has the infrastructure of health care, and a good american expatriot community.
Were would you recommend?
