He knuckled under. Too bad.
Bush is a malignant narcissist, and probably a psychopath, albeit one without much ambition, left to himself. probably would've contented himself with abusing the golf attendants at the club and shooting little birdies had he not wanted to impress his Daddy. and had the neocons not decided that they had a Mission. he was happy enough to be the figurehead, was Bush. doubt that he really gives a fuck about hegemony one way or the other, though. he's too lazy to be a real dictator, at least all by himself. not that there aren't that kind of psychopath as well; in fact, that's far more common.
Rove is a devious little fuck. probably a psychopath.
Rummy may well be one. there's something wrong with him anyway; deluded, fixated, and a total FREAK. i think he knows when he's lying, though. generally the better they are at lying, the higher the P possibility.
Cheney certainly is one. Brrrr. Cheney. brrahh.
Wolfowitz...haven't paid sufficient attention to him personally. He's a disaster, that's for sure.
Perle is SCARY. definitely a psycho.
Rice is *something,* for sure; probably would never have aspired to actual murder (even by proxy) were it not for circumstances. she should've stuck with academia to exercise her particular personality disorders; she was perfect for it.
Who else? Frist certainly, though he isn't technically part of the Bush cabal. Ditto Scalia. Ashcroft has springs coming out of his head. a healthy streak of paranoia there, i'd say, whatever else is going on; and obsessive-compulsive, my God. what Fromm called the "sadistic-anal" personality. they ALL have that as a baseline.
Ari always struck me as glib enough to be a sociopath. and smart enough to leave when he saw the writing on the wall.
