Can You Name 3 Good Things Bush has done for America?
Can you? Is there even 3 good things? I mean if you can't even name 3 things than isn't that reason enough to kick W.AND COMPANY OUT OF OFFICE? Look what a mess they have made of our country and of our future. War instead of peace. Medicare sham, Tax cuts instead of help for the poor, sick, and old. No child left behind,The Draft next year,Health care costs are ignored, and every day it's some thing new. Bush wants to go to the moon alls he has to do is stack all of the problems he has created one on top of the other and just walk there. http://www.bushflash.com/topgun.html Take Care and keep fighting. The Democratic Kid...

31. Perhaps
Perhaps he has united the democrats (I still feel there is not nearly the unity there should be among liberals and progressives) but he hasn't alienated moderates.

This is just my opinion and I can offer no concrete fact to back it up but I see that the moderates and undecideds still haven't broke to the left side of the spectrum even after all of the stuff that has been done by this administration.

Be it apathy or just lack of understanding the mass majority of moderates or undecideds still haven't completely been angered by this administration.

After the images of Abu Ghraib and the quagmire that is Iraq I feel that the tide may be turning but I wish that the democratic party would stand up and take a tougher stand with the misdeeds and criminal activity being done. Show the American people there is a true alternative to this administration.

3. Ok
1. I had no idea how good Clinton was until we got Chucklenuts Jr.
(I liked Bill, don't get me wrong, I just had no idea how good we had it!)

2. His stealing the 2000 election made me vow to never be apathetic again. I am now a voter registrar, active in my city and county democratic groups, and I write letters to my representatives in congress and my papers (and had them printed!).

3. Um........um........

Notice one and two are only on the list because of how BAD he is. So I'm not sure this is a list of three GOOD things he's done for America at all!

He just sucks.

12. reminded us of the danger
of pretzels... HE TRADED SOSA TO THE CUBS, I have to love him for that. GO CUBS!! oh, nm, he wasn't president then... he rewarded Bill clinton for being such an awesome pres by lowering his taxes. Bc we all know those millionaires need it more than "lucky duckies" like me... and he gave me a good laugh when China made him their bitch with the whole spy plane thing.

16. give him credit, you gloomy guses
1. He hasn't kicked cat litter all over our bathroom floor like the new kitten.
2. He's helped the world understand, I mean, really, REALLY, understand, neocon ideals.
3. He's made me think much more highly of Nixon who, in retrospect, looks like a liberal visionary of impeccable moral character compared to this shambling disaster.

25. "Shambling Disaster"
I like that. Brings to mind some sort of oozing monstrosity spreading distruction and goo in its wake. Can't forget the goo. Fits perfectly.

Welcome to DU! :hi:

14. Well, he's activated the left like nothing else since the Vietnam war!
I guess that's something.

And we wouldn't have DU if not for the stolen election.

It is my hope that the awfulness of the bush* maladministration may end up being the baptism by fire that this country sorely needs to wake up and get serious about finally living up to the ideals we have so blithely professed -- to finally walk the walk instead of just talking the talk.

15. Well, let's see...
It's really hard to think of anything, but here goes:

1. I believe that Bush has screwed everything up so badly that from now on if there is a question in an election, people aren't ever going to just sit back and take it, knowing full well that it just doesn't seem right.

2. I would venture to say that a whole lot more people are going to register to vote from now on. I know a lot of people who never voted or haven't voted in years who will vote from now on. My mom is an example. She hasn't voted in 32 years, but I got her registered and she said she'd vote in every election.

3. I am really racking my brains and cannot think of anything else.

18. Lets see...
1. He's eliminated the pesky surplus.

2. He's united the world as no one has since A. Hitler.

3. He's given us more jokes at his expense than any previous president.

22. He brought a cute Scottie Terrier into the White House and the public eye.
Edited on Sat May-08-04 05:16 PM by belle
And then promptly dropped the poor traumatized puppy and blamed it on his wife; so, no, nothing.

Sure, I'll say, galvanized and united the left, etc., IF that has any lasting effects. If we somehow get rid of the clown and promptly fall asleep again--or, worse, if we don't get rid of him at all...well...

*maybe* someday it'll become apparent that Bush & his administration were like a homeopathic does of poison; that the neocon/fundie takeover was inevitable at some point, and only the fact that he and his cabinet are so fricking STUPID allowed us to see the mess for what it was and save ourselves from an even worse fate. we can but hope.

personally, i think the neocons may be toast after this.

but the fundies are another story...

27. Ummmmmmm
OK, here's my stab at it:

1.) Michael Moore and Al Franken are a lot more famous now than they were before

2.) When we whoop his sorry butt in November, it will ensure that the GOP won't be in the White House for another 10-20 years

3.) He's given our nation's comedians SO MUCH good material, you have to give him credit for that!

28. Yes, I can:
He's screwed the economy up so bad, he has made it easy for the next President to do much better in comparison.

He's made the younger generation aware of the history of the Vietnam era and how some guys got out of the draft. That's good since most students don't pay attention or aren't taught much history.

He's shown all Americans, and the World, what a really bad orator is like. I hear lots of students are enrolling in public speaking class now.

There! I've done it! I knew I could if I tried REAL HARD!!!
