The only thing firing Rumsfeld would accomplish is to let Bush off the....

hook. The press would say "See, something WAS done about it." Then everything would be alright. End of story.

As long as Rumsfeld is still in office everybody will still be talking negatively about the Bush administration.

So, I say Rumsfeld is our man of the hour, and please, please, please do NOT fire him.

2. We probably paid KB&R

$20 million for the paint job and ceiling fans, so Chimpy probably doesn't want to flush all that money away and jeopardize his tax cuts.
