Poll question: Can you smell a scandal erupting in the White House?
I have a feeling there might be, but who knows. Rush & Hannity will still find a way to justify Bush.

1. I smell a lot of scandals involving the whitehouse
but offical and legal actions taken to address those odors still prove unsatisfyingly impotent

6. There are so many scandals

The abuses in Iraq are truly the tip of the ice berg.
They are mad because they got caught and they have to answer to the public.

Since they hate the public this is just like a big fly to them.
They want to hit it and kill it and move on.

We need more "leaks" and then the House of Cards will have to come down.

Hurry up leakers, do your duty for your country!

2. Do you smell things other people don't smell?
This is a question on the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory -- a famous psychological test.

But I think the latest one, if it takes hold, is the fact that the orders to torture prisoners go to the very top. To Bush/Cheney/Rummy.

11. I agree. Even Jim Hoagland wrote in one of his latest
columns that the White House had taken over the prosecution of the war in Iraq from Rumsfeld. And too, with statements like "bring em on" what are the young, impressionable soldiers to think. Man we are Top Gun!

3. The Bush* White House IS a scandal
but that seems to have no effect on the American people. Who knows if the latest crap will run up hill to them.

5. I smell a "Shawshank Redemption" climax type scene
coming soon to the WH/Pentagon. Question is, which ones will "cry like a little girl" and which ones will "have no intention of going so quietly"?

7. I just don't think
Torturegate will stick, just like everything else didn't. People don't want to "wake up and smell" the White House.

10. I think it will
This is world wide in it's condemnation. This is blow back big time no matter what bu$h&co do. Can you say "War Crimes"? Most the rest of the world is.

Just broad-based incompetence and negligence.

12. Of Course
And the Department of State just reported that international terrorism is at a 35-year low: http://www.state.gov/s/ct/rls/pgtrpt/2003/31751.htm

And if you Google White House + robot.txt, you can come up with a 30 page list of information Dimbo needs to hide from the Internet Search Engines.

Just the thing to pique the interest of a good, honest journalist working for a paper outside the US.

18. What I mean by scandal erupting
Edited on Mon May-10-04 03:06 PM by Champ
Is I mean will be on the verge of impeachment or something will blow up to be so big it won't be without a doubt he will be impeached. Ex. Nixon-Watergate.

16. Olfactory overload
but Cheney will snarl to "get off our case" and the press pups will retreat into their corners and try and convince us that Kerry is the same as Boo$h.

17. My nose is numb to it; I've smelled nothing BUT scandal for 3.5 years
From the moment that ratfucker ascended to his throne by a 5-to-4 vote, not a month has gone by that hasn't seen some stupid shit in progress. I've forgotten what a relatively untainted administration smells like.
