1. More evidence of the impotence of the government of Pakistan

The Pakistani government has for much of the past twenty years failed to create any sort of public school system in rural Pakistan.

Filling the void have been largely extreme, Saudi-financed religious schools. Parents send their kids to these school because of the horrid choice between an extremist education or no education.

understood the point. It wasn't about the quality of education in Pakistan, but the forced conversion of Christians to Islam, and the government compliance and assistance with this vile practice. Takes place in other Islamic countries, too. Egypt springs to mind. Not to mention the slavery and forced conversions in the Sudan. Oh, and in Indonesia. But not all Muslim-dominated countries. Turkey, I believe, is fairly safe for non-Muslims.
