When I listen to Randi Rhodes...
...especially when she's on fire like she is today, I can't help but wonder if Limbaugh, O'Reilly, etc. even have the balls to utter her name. I know there are some people here who listen to Rush. Does he ever try to address anything that she says on her show?

1. I bet not yet. But as she gains more a more of a NATIONAL audience
(and I believe AirAmerica is... they are getting ADVERTISERS) attacks will start coming her way. Rush did not allow her program to run at the same time as his when she was in Florida, so he KNOWS she is good.

11. I'm sure you're right
However, they were on the same station in Florida. They couldn't have run her at the same time if they'd wanted.

3. from back when Randi
was at WJNO .....I think Rush would have rather had his tongue cut out than to mention her name.

O'Reilly, Rush, Insanity and the rest of the group see Randi as competition and obey the first law of competition: Thou shalt never mention thine opposition by name.

hehehe.....look what happened to O'lielly when he went after Franken.

5. I love the fact...
...that she's not afraid to mention her competition by name.

7. She's doing a great job
I think that by mentioning Rush by name (and calling him a Nazi) she's trying to goad Rush into a confrontation....

let's see if it works.........

9. Rush vs. Randi?
If it's anything like Randi vs. Ralph Nader, batten down the hatches...

4. I think she's an acquired taste.
I'm still working on acquiring it. But it does impress me that she knows what the hell she's talking about when she talks about life in the military. Try that, Rushie-poo!

6. Like the right-wingers, she's outspoken
Al Franken is a soft-spoken guy, and he's cool, but there's just something about the fire and conviction in Randi's tone, especially when she shuts down FReepers in mid-sentence when they try to peddle their nonsense on her show.

8. Randi will be the reason AAR thrives.
She's the anchor of their programming, the radio pro. The
big shots will get the clue soon enough.

14. I've said it before....
AAR needs more TALK RADIO (Randi!) and less "talking radio" (everything else).

not that I don't enjoy a lot of it, but the morning shows have been way too much meaningless personal chit-chat.

bring on Malloy and Guy James and.... <insert your fav TALK RADIO personality>

16. The numbers will tell the story.
They'll get it. They have to. (Wouldn't Malloy just after or
instead of Janeane and Sam be just fabulous?)

19. AAR has weekend programming, but
KPOJ didn't pick it up.

Yes, you're right, Guy James would fit right in
after Randi.

18. Spot on

Imagine AAR with a TALK RADIO personna first thing in the morning, debunking the lies that Scarborough et al. tried to pawn off the night before.

Right now it's just a "morning zoo" with a lean to the left.

(I think it skews younger than we are - oh, hell - EVERYTHING skews younger than we are. ) :) :)

26. You're right

As much as I love AAR, oftentimes I can not listen to Morning Sedition. Please, people, a professional show in that time spot is sorely needed.

30. They do like The General - I'll give 'em that

But that inane "dream diary", among other things, is right out of morning drive time radio. While I'm sure that it is possible to meld the serious with the humerous without losing credibility, nobody on this show has a clue on how to do it.

They lose their ability to be taken seriously with all this lame stand-up stuff.

Out of curiousity, how old are the folks on this show?

(ain't it great, though, that we actually HAVE a show to talk about!)

12. She is a real pro
I know she rubs a lot of people the wrong way, but that's what keeps me listening. You never know what she will say next, but rest assured it will be right on, and she will pull no punches.

15. I really like Randi and look forward to hearing her show everyday
this is a woman who is not afraid and does not try to pull the wool over our eyes or tell us how wonderful she is and all the wonderful things she has done. She is a down to earth, honest, and strong woman and I applaud her.

Thanks Randi--you go girl

All on AA are really good--but Randi is my favorite- so is Tim and the rest of her staff.

I'm having a hard time with the one on the AA site- my bet is that its overloaded. I was hoping one of the affiliates might have a web stream?

25. "If whe comes, I walk" said Limpballs when Clearchannel wanted to
sindicate her. And that's "free market" GOP style.
Clearchannel still carries her in Florida
Freepers know her well - just watch them swarming her threads.
