BushCo will never get the media to back off sex, torture, abuse....
There is something so ironic in all this. The repukes were successful in the constant pounding of Clinton because of "sex". This totally useless media who sat there for three and a half years and would investigate nothing about these slime (and promoted them 24/7) now have that gift from God that they simply cannot let go of even if el presidente threatens them within an inch of their lives. You can lie people into war; you can transfer the wealth of the nation to the Kenny Lay's of this land; you can beat the living crap out of middle class America and the media will give scant notice and so will the public. But when you can get sex, abuse, torture, murder and the cherry on the top--GI JOE, to boot---these hounds will dig their teeth in and never let go. While they wail to us of the "outrage" of these actions, the little pigs are all trying to be first ones to get their hands on the other photos and the "biggie'--the tapes!!! This is one Rove can't stop. First time I saw these whores actually clawing all over each other to get the next "scoop" on this story.

1. Hope you're right, but
I believed every outrage they committed over the past 3 1/2 years would mark the beginning of the end for them. Yet, 70% of the public still believes Saddam was involved in 9/11.

A journalist named H.L. Mencken said, "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public." It's not only possible that they'll survive this, but that they'll end up stealing another election (which will of course be the last election this country ever has).

Sorry to sound so negative and I sure as hell hope I'm proven wrong.

(Nice shot of the Eiffel Tower)

2. Setting up as a perfect storm against Bush.
They won't release all the photos, so they will slowly be leaked over a period of weeks if not months. Keeping the media in feeding frenzy.

4. Demos---that's what's so stupid about the cartel right now.
These pictures will leak. Someone tonight said that some are already in Arab newspapers, etc. They can't put a lid on this. In fact, I wonder how long before they are all over the rag mag's staring down at us from the super market check out line---you know that ones that have had Clinton on the cover (Or Hillary, etc.) for years. That's when the numb start turning. I don't need them to run out and vote Kerry---I just need them to stay home on election day in holy, Christian disgust. (Hey God, did I say "Thank Ya"???)

9. soooo,....all the way to the election, we watch POW sex-torture pics

interspersed with Iraq and Afganistan 'summer battles', including BIG fires and explosions....AND the occasional American hostage shown in fear...AND osama bin laden's messages...AND the collapsing stock market and housing industry.....that's bush*s re-selection campaign background....it's got to make any bush* ads look totally hypocritic and liars...

IMO, even the stupidest Americans will figure out that bush* is not good for America...and BOOT BUSH OUT in November

11. amen--you know the thing it really takes away from him??
..his only damn reason he supposedly went to war!!!! Think about it. After exhausting every other excuse, he settled on to "bring them democracy, freedom" and then he always blabs on and on about the torture and killing and "rape rooms". Now it looks like the US Army could have been producing instructional films for Saddam!!! When he now says these things, everyone in the room (even the most avid, rabid repuke) has got to go dead silent. It's like one of the guilty priests preaching a sermon on "love the little children" (gag, puke). And, thus, in the end, he has no flag waving "reason" why he invaded!! Maybe he could try: Daddy had a war and I wanted one of my own! And now with stock market, interest rates going to be hiked, gas prices, food prices, still layoffs being announced and jobs outsourced, etc., he just is plain out of material. And soon John will announce a VP that will start the focusing on Kerry again. Once that spotlight hits the Kerry campaign, they have to come out swinging on all fronts against Bush from the above list while the cameras are still rolling.

3. In this case I would hope you are right, but so far I am hearing the media
whores tiptoeing around with words like "mistreatment" and "abuse" and "depicting sexual behavior". You would think they would pump up their viewership by saying "the videos depict US soldiers raping an Iraqi woman" and "Iraqi guards raping young boys with US soldiers videotaping". But I guess it's only fun when it's Michael Jackson or Clinton.

Tiptoeing waiting for some other guy to be the first to use the dirty words.

6. Mayberry---not really. They are scared shitless of attacking the
GI's---they know the country has this love affair with the GI's. After all, this is what Bush has pumped up all these years to strut in front of, etc. to give himself the "image". So they watch any attack on that front. But, they keep parading out the pictures and putting on guests to discuss the Rummy situation, etc. And the reporters (did you see them at the WH today?) are just screaming at the WH press guy demanding "when did Bush know; what did he do about it". Ohh, they are going to keep it going because they just love to show those pictures. That's why they love the M. Jackson stories and the Peterson case and all the rest. It sells. This keeps people watching--not boring politics.

5. They can't stuff the genie back in the bottle
This thing is just too big to control. Karl Rove can't stop it and he knows all too well from his years working on dirty tricks campaigns that information wants to come out and the more you try and stop it the more steams builds up.

7. Hard to believe, innit?
Pics of nekkid pee-pees trump all. Now the jingoes are left desperately waving images of 4 charcoaled bodies and still can't dislodge the sex/torture pics from the top of the news cycle. Somebody, anybody, PLEASE, for the sake of the humanity, boink GeeDub and come back with pictures.

8. The news media will adjust output and spin to maximize ratings-
Other than a few biased networks like Fox, the news media as a whole will either

1. Move on if they detect American's are sick of hearing about it, re-focusing on the fighting, or some other story, or-

2. Stay on it as long as they think Americans want to hear more.

They're neither friend nor foe to either side, they exist to be the most exciting and profitable network first and foremost.

" They're neither friend nor foe to either side,"
That you could post this seriously is exposes you as someone who needs a reality check.

14. No- I don't trust the media-
I hear both the right and left claming the media is against them, but I see the media much more as a hungry animal feeding on the bloodiest mess that either side produces. There are obviously biased exceptions like Fox, but I hear both left and right cursing NPR and CNN.

They exist for ratings first and foremost, and don't care if it's a picture of Bush or Kerry snorting coke, they're going to milk it to death.
