24. It's country singer Sara Evans and her band...
...who, like Martina McBride, has VERY sadly declared her allegiance to Hannity. She did a pretty fine version of Bruce Hornsby's "Every Little Kiss" but ever since I saw all of the photos on Hannity's web site of her partying with him I now think twice before listening to her...

All that does is show the world how absolutely clueless the right wing in this country is. The World knows. Ive been seeing reports from all over the World comparing Bush with Hitler- and I have to agree with the World on this.

15. What really bothers me
is that I heard it too!

Seriously, I know this is a common topic of conversation, but why do we listen to this stuff? It's like I do it just to aggravate myself. My only salvation is that I get to read messages like this one which reassures me that I'm not alone.

And please don't respond with the usual "we need to hear what the other side is saying" because that's not the case. It's sadistic, pure and simple--like picking a scab. I feel like I have to take a shower every time I walk in the door after listening to these people in the car.

20. For me, it really is a case of half and half...
Granted, a big part of it is that maybe I like to go ballistic when I see Hannity's eyes get all misty and his voice goes deep and low like "Tonight, on a very special episode of Dawson's Creek"...except, of course, he's talkin' about Bush and not a soap opera.

But I really, honestly do want to "hear what the other side is saying"...for no reason other than I've always been fascinated with psychology and what makes people tick.

Hey, I was an English Major in college. Between high school and my BA I had to read "Oedipus Rex" at least 4 times. To be able to sit back and watch the President of the United States play out the lead role is a chance I'm not gonna pass up...:-)

Just think of Hannity, Rush, Miller, and the rest as his own little "Greek Chorus" in the tragedy.

I guess there's a difference between pretending like you're doing some kind of "opposition research" and simply wanting get inside the mind of a psychotic egomaniac.

Like the other person who replied, I'm also in DC also and a lot of this would be solved if we could only get Air America!

Thanks!

P.S. So does this mean that Barbara is Jocasta? ;-)

26. "Eagledog" speaks out on Amazon.com...5 stars for "Deliver Us"
...in the "reader reviews" from "Deliver Us From Evil." It's too long to poste the whole thing here but I urge anyone in need of a laugh (or maybe an uncontrollable episode of projectile vomiting) to read it:

"2 of 4 people found the following review helpful:"

"Sean Hannity pulls no punches, May 8, 2004" by eagledog, West Valley, UT

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0060582510/qid=1084240982/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/103-9472003-1456630

"The reason the left is so afraid of Sean Hannity is because he tells the truth."

"This is really what Hannity's book is all about: recognizing good and evil and calling them what they are, standing up to evil and defeating it instead of compromising and appeasing it.

Hannity argues that the republicans have done this and the democrats haven't. He does point out that the democrats used to do this. He mentions FDR and JFK and examples of how they stood up to evil."

"It bothers the author, and myself, that America has gotten so far away from it's roots. Our founding fathers recognized the existence of a Creator and recognized that we are all endowed by our Creator. The left do not want to recognize the Creator. A nation that doesn't give God credit for its existence and seek Him for guidance will fail. Satan is using the left to turn us away from God and to be subject to the power of evil. Sean Hannity has struck a nerve because his rebuke contains the truth."

27. He also said only 10 people involved
in the war crimes. He is trying to spin it as an aberation instead of a policy. Protecting his God Bush with the quarantine. I believe Hannity has a little shrine in his bedroom with candles and photos of Dubya and Cheney. He slaughters a chicken every night and dances around naked and sings to them.

29. He sounds like Joseph Goebbels
I've always been a little reluctant to compare Bush to Hitler. After reading some of Joseph Goebbels speeches, I'm a little shocked at how similar they sound to Republican propaganda and how they equally apply to the idiot.

'...Perhaps it is also a religious act to put his whole life in the service of his people, and to work and act for the happiness of people. It is a religion without empty phrases and dogma, which nonetheless springs from the deepest depths of our soul. That is how our people understands it. We Germans are today perhaps more faithful and pious than others who, though they never tire of praising God with their lips, have hearts that are cold and empty....'
Goebbels' 1938 Speech on Hitler's 49th Birthday

'...One of his fine and noble traits is that he never gives up on someone who has won his confidence. The more his political opponents attack such a person, the more loyal is Adolf Hitler's support. He is not the kind of person who is afraid of strong associates. The harder and tougher a man is, the more Hitler likes him. If things fall apart, his capable hands put them together again. Who would have thought it possible that a mass organization that includes literally everything could be build in this nation of individualists? Doing that is Hitler's great accomplishment. His principles are firm and unshakable, but he is generous and understanding toward human weaknesses. He is a pitiless enemy of his opponents, but a good and warm-hearted friend to his comrades...'

35. Hitler had moral clarity too, he was certain Aryans were the master race
Edited on Mon May-10-04 10:06 PM by kcwayne
Osama Bin Laden has moral clarity, he is certain that Islam is the one and true religion, and Allah commands him to kill infidels.

Stalin had moral clarity, he was uncompromising on the role of the State in controlling the lives of its citizens, and would let no challenge to the state go unpunished, preferably by death or torture.

George Bush is in good company.

Moral clarity is for morons that do not understand how to apply knowledge and wisdom guided by benevolent principles. Any fool can follow a set of rules and dogma. George, Sean, and their ilk are fools.

This administration has a moral vulgarity - -yeah that sounds more like it . . .

As President Bush put it, they are an exceptional "few bad apples" whose actions "do not reflect the nature of our country."

31. Nope
Greetings all. I'm a newbie here but I also can't stand Hannity.

This should cheer you guys up...This election will be the first time since I became old enough to vote that I won't vote republican..either nader or Kerry for me. I just talked to my Dad, a 40 year police officer (retired) and he is sick about the prisoner abuse in Iraq too. He just voted absentee for Kerry (oregon)..so heres two long time repubs whose votes you won't have to worry about.

On another note...I realize this board is for progressives but I hope you won't ban me too quick, I try to be polite, but I am not PC, in fact I stand just as much chance of being banned from freeper land as here.

But banned or not I just had to let you guys know (I think bush is toast)
