Rumsfeld: The Scapegoat that Wasn't

I have heard so much of what the media has propangized about the 'abuse scandal' repeated right here in the halls of debate. That Don Rumsfeld should resign. What about those people who were being tortured in your name? What about that guy naked, with his toes curled up, being told by a contractor standing in front of him to get down on the floor, so the dogs can get him? What about him? Fuck Don Rumsfeld.

The REAL issue here isn't about accountability as the media and so many of you have repeated, as if Don Rumsfeld is some trophy, it's about those fucking contractors and their superconsititutional status. Those people need to go to jail! We need the Democrats to DEMAND that these contractors be held accountable, and DEMAND that their respective companies be held accountable, and that the status of all contract companies in Iraq be reviewed by Congress.

Where are our Democratic leaders in this dark hour of of democracy? I'll tell you where: they're in a back room somewhere with the corporations.
