Bush: "I'm a man of conviction."
What good is having a man of conviction for President is his convictions are totally wrong and evil?

1. that's funny
I thought all of his crimes were plea-bargained away. Hopefully, when this sad chapter in US history is over,he'll have LOTS of convictions.

2. Let's hope he's right...
and that the conviction carries a sentence of ten to fifteen years.

11. Captain Edward J. Smith...
...was also a man of convictions. He was so convinced that his ship was unsinkable, he stayed the course into an area of known icebergs.

13. Unsupported by any tidbits of reality, but convictions, true enough
You see, boys and girls, all you have to do is believe with all your heart - better yet, "strongly believe" - and it will magically be TRUE.

So, when Crown Prince Chimpley intones that he "strongly believes" that Saddam Hussein had tons of chemical weapons, or contacts with Osama, or was a nuclear threat - well, that's good enough for the good ol' USA! Who needs proof when you can just "strongly believe"?

By the way, did I mention that I strongly believe that the spirit of Ethel Merman (who represented an advanced race of space beings from the planet Throgaxx IX) speaks to me through a can of Progresso garbanzo beans on the top shelf of our pantry closet? Ethel says you're all to send me postal money orders for at least $150 US each, or all of you will be stricken with boils and disturbingly persistant nose hair growth. PM me for further details.

Did mention that I strongly believe these facts? Let's get those money orders (cashier's checks also OK) in the mail, please, and make it snappy!!

should be convicted. Federal time not in solitary but with the general populace.

17. Beware of people who tell you how they are
If the Dubster were a man of conviction, he wouldn't need to say so. Ditto for compassionate and optimistic and whatever else he's always saying he is. What a jerk! I can't believe anyone believes a word he says.
