Is there a massive double standard in effect here?
Or is it simply good ol American racism? Mention the shortcomings of Israeli policies and its antisemitic time, its antisemitic time, lallallalalalala, lalla lalala la. Palestinian terrorists, etc.
Post the commentaries of Mumia abu Jamal and the Grand Dragon cops swarm the place like Abner Luima was just spotted or something. Never mind the endless examples of miscarried justice and death penalty fuckups, the relentless scandals of corrupt cops and night riders torturing and killing, the glorious history of the sons of the south etc, etc, etc, etc, et al.
WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE POSTERS WHO ARE AGAINST RACISM WHEN THIS SHIT TAKES PLACE? Are there any? Is this what you all stand for? God help us all.

1. Ok I'll byte
Israeli Policies in the West Bank and Gaza are racist and terroristic

Palestinain bombings in Tel Aviv are racist and Terroristic

Both are in that embrace of hate and pain that denies the humanity of the other.

Now we all have to stand back and let them both realize that the first step will be to recognize that the other side is human

Hope you like this, or not

Oh and by the way, I am all for a two state solution... and both have a right to exist in secure borders (1967)

That said, when it comes to Israel, and partly due to their own fault and partly due to the dynamic, many think that a third rate power has the abiltiy to control OUR foreign policy... and the ever lovely and present International Jew.

So how about we stop the triple standard and face teh facts on the ground is that everybody in there is trapped in an incredibly painful dinamic, and you know the scary part... we are in the early stages.

8. Acgually yes
when the Protocols of the Elders of Zion is one of the best selling
books in the middle east you reach your own conclusions

It is a whole dynamic, and I know you may not want to see it

but both sides are trapped in that dynamic and it is a racist dynamic

It is central to denying the humanity of the other and dehumanizing the other.

3. There is a massive double standard here...
...rascism is still very strong here in America...I think I see it less in the groups of friends I spend time with or in my life because I am fortunate to have a circle of friends and family that are educated and have lived in multiple cultures and countries and don't judge the way so many who have never walked in other shoes do.

I do however see it when I travel through other parts of the US and in a lot of messages in our general media and politics, even if they aren't obvious on the surface. It's incredible to me to think that just 50 years ago, a man that is very dear to me, a Professor at my Alma Mater who I was a student and did research for at Wharton School of Business, could have been lynched and killed simply for being seen with me having lunch and hugging afterwards because he is black. (On that topic = I finally have one thing I can say that John Ashcroft is doing that is right in pursueing the murderers of Emmitt Till - Took them long enough, eh?)

Anyway, one of the very interesting ironies facing Jewish people in the USA right now is as they awoke this morning in a country that is very much resembling Nazi Germany and committing atrocities against Muslims not much unlike what the Nazis did to Jews in the Concentration Camps and faced with things that the state of Israel is doing to the Palestinians, is what they are going to choose to do. Its a touchy subject a lot of people are afraid to touch upon and certainly that the politicians don't want to - talk about a double standard.

4. Double standard or simply a profit motive
Part of the problem I believe lies in the money the defense industry makes in the arms sales to Israel.

I may be a bit of a cynic, but like in George Orwell's "1984" there is money to be made by a select few in keeping states at perpetual conflict.

Perhaps no one really wants peace. As long as the Muslims don't build any atomic weapons, all is well. Should anyone attempt to build them, apart from Israel, of course, there will be the consequence of massive repercussions. Saddam has learned this all too well.

So is it a double standard? Who knows. I know for practical reasons that I would trust the Israelis to show marginally better restraint in the use of nuclear weapons than a fundamentalist Islamic state. But still, it is totally wrong for the U.S. to sanction Israel's Zionist actions only to prolong conflict so that the defense industry can make more sales.

7. I don't know if it helps much, but . . . .
When the next president of the U.S. stopped by K.C., I yelled "Free Palestine" several times, and I AM loud enough for everyone, including John Kerry, to hear even on airport tarmac.

All those squeaky-clean Democrats stayed on message, so they didn't join me, though some of them did turn and smile at me.

11. actually
most of the posters i see on here are pretty much opposite of how you describe them.

I rarely see "antisemite" being said to somebody who's critical of Israeli policies, in fact, defenders of Israel are massively outnumbered.
