If Saddam and regime officals are 'responsible' for atrocities occuring
Edited on Tue May-11-04 10:17 AM by keithyboy
when they were in power in Iraq, how can Bush and regime NOT be held responosible for atocities being committed under their control?
Do we have written orders from Saddam to gas, brutalize, torture anyone in Iraqi prisons when he was in power? Do we hold Saddam responsible for acts of terror committed by his generals?

OK, then please tell me how Bush can escape war crimes charges for what has happened under the US occupation of Iraq?

This hearing is a waste and merely designed to try to deflect accountability away from Bush, Cheney, Ashcroft, and Rummy.

1. They'll be no making sense here damnit!
;)

Your absolutely right!

I heard the Rethuglican spin docotors proclaim that the tortured were "thankful they weren't being tortured in one of Saddams' prisons" :eyes:

The *logic* these people use to justify their convoluted thought process is mind boggling.

5. This hearing should further enrage the world against us.
If this is 'democracy in action' it is embarrassing. Especially the Republicans on this committee. They sound a lot like 'Baghdad Bob' making excuses for Bush and Rummy and the sickening soldiers.

7. It'd be different...
It'd be different if THEIR kids were in Iraq, but they seem to do a pretty good job of making sure none of THEIR OWN join the military.
