Hooray! Republican campaign decision made to embrace torture

The real nuts (including Inhofe) have been supporting torture but I was curious to know if the 'mainstream' Republicans would join in.
Bob Dole, being interveiwed about VETERANS FOR BUSH:

CNN: What's the first thing that shopuld be done (about torture scandals)

Bob Dole: The first thing to do is change the subject.
He then went on to parrot a number of the more offensive party line talking points minimizing the scandal and questioning the motives of anyone pretending to be legitimately upset about it all.

This strategy is so facially stupid for a national campaign that it indicates they are very worried about holding their base even if it means alienating independents. Not too optimistic!

2. Yea, I encourage Inhofe to speak out as often as possible
His moronic comments will ensure Bush losing in a landslide, and the Senate as well.

3. That talking point wasn't meant to be read out loud.
Bob must be out of the loop. That was meant as an instruction and Bob read it as if it was an answer. Rove needs to print the memos in a larger font.
