All this Berg video talk has me feeling sick. (I almost watched it, but couldn't bear to)

We reap what we sow. When will we learn that?

I just can't take it anymore. Gotta stop and put on a little Jonathan to remember that there still exists some innocence in this world. I'd recommend everyone else do the same (Jonathan, Beach Boys, The Ronnettes, whatever floats your boat).

Or just go outside and smell some damn flowers!

I can't wait to see my 3-year old this evening.

1. I put on Radiohead myself
But not sure that's what you had on mind. Maybe I should switch it over for some Groove Armada.

2. I have to say I agree completely
I am profoundly disturbed by the goings on today. The hearings, the beheading, the rape, the torture. I need to breath.

8. Like I said, whatever floats your boat. Escapism is relative.

I'm escaping via the "Little Sleeper Car" to go "Dancing in a Lesbian Bar". Feel free to escape into some Yanni, or perhaps consider that "Every Rose Has Its Thorn".

Although I don't know how you can call an artist who sings songs like "Abominable Snowman in the Market" and "Ice Cream Man" "art-rock"!

Oh, maybe some of the more serious Modern Lovers stuff...

9. Pablo Picasso was never called an a***hole...
.. they actually sang about artists - that's art-rock!

Well the girls would turn the color of an avocado
as he's drive down the street in his El Dorado,
He was only five-foot-three
Girls could not resist his stare

Subsequently, Pablo Picasso was never called an a***hole.

Guess I like sissy art-rock after awhile. Maybe time to listen to Funhouse again.

12. "Nothin' pretentious about that, is there?"
(to quote Jonathan's self-deprecating, sarcastic remark in his "Monologue about Bermuda", also addressing his Modern Lovers music)

4. I know, it is disturbing
For two weeks there has been non-stop threads talking about the torture and now no doubt the next two weeks will be threads about the beheading. Sometimes I think there are a few who enjoy pouring over all the ghoulish details and it is a little weird.

7. streaming a station I used to listen to in Germany
wondering why the hell I ever came back to the US??! I am utterly depressed at times over the madness in this world. These past almost four years have been a nightmare beyond description. And to top it off, I saw several Bu$h/Cheney bumper stickers over the mountain this morning...I shake my head in disbelief at how f'ing stupid people are here in Central Virginia.

11. Funny you should mention that
I got a list of JoJo's upcoming venues in the mail today. He won't be in my area soon, unfortunately.:(

Gotta go make double chocolate malteds with my 4-year-old and then we'll run around and be little airplanes, nyow-nyow... we'll be with you and your 3-year-old in spirit!
