They are patriots or simple people who do not appreciate having their lives disrupted and their families destroyed because someone chose to invade them in order to save them.

1. On the other hand
I don't know if you are referring to the Berg beheading, but if that is Al-Queda, then that group is clearly a terrorist cell, operating under the umbrella of the resistance.

But I do agree that the media throws around the term terrorist a little too loosely when referring to the Iraqi Resistance.

2. I was waiting for this. Where I live, there would be armed insurrection.
I am surprised that so many really can't get it that what we won't allow here, we can't expect others to allow. This is so ugly, people aren't allowing the Iraqis to hate the invasion of their country. This is such a crock, this whole thing.

Of course they will defend, get revenge, act in short like we would. I am so sick of Bush. He's stained in blood. Everyone who has died everywhere since before 9/11 is his fault. Thank you for mentioning this.

5. Attacking the military is resistance. Beheading civilians is terrorism.
The guy wasn't even a government contractor, just some poor schmuck who worked with a group bringing technology to 3rd world countries.

Military resistance also denotes compliance with the Geneva Convention.

6. When we leave they will be killing each other
I hear that we can't leave because there will be civil war, or Iran or Syria will take over. The choice these people have is war, war, war. No they are not terrorists, they are victims.
