3. I heard one of the republican senators complaining today during the
hearing that the problem lies with the downsizing of the military in the 90's. Of course, it didn't take long to blame Clinton! He didn't mention his name but he didn't have to.

My husband and I started laughing our butts off. There isn't anything under the sun that is their fault. Failing to take into account Rummy's notion that a smaller, faster army was the way to go!

4. we're turning our heads and ignoring fanatical islamic extremists?
thats funny - i recall the ultra conservative types ignoring extremist christian groups that bomb abortion clinics and assasinate doctors with high powered sniper rifles right here in the u.s.

5. I just posted this:
As a denizen of Democratic Underground, it is clear to everyone in the country that the blood from this beheading falls clearly on Bush's head and hands. Bush sent us to war over lies and a sense of personal revenge over his father. (Not to mention his paranoid schizophrernic conversations with God.)

The Iraqi's are striking out against an invader just as we did in 1776 against the British. Who can blame them?

7. Why do you think it is the iraqis though
have our own thugs do it dressed as arabs and give an excuse to ethnically cleanse every muslim on the planet.

10. Very possible and likely
Edited on Tue May-11-04 04:46 PM by Gman
However, to me, and as far as this blog is concerned, all I wanted to do was set some RW heads spinning and spraying green vomit in a 300' radius. I figured mentioning 1776 would do the trick!

However, it is true that the Iraqis are fighting invaders just as we would.

6. And I thought is was the Bush administration who passed up three chances
to take out this terrorist group, because it would undercut their dubious reasons for war.

Silly me!

8. Let's follow that logic...
If we all just said - oh, that wasn't so bad, who cares about those bunch of Arab bastards, pour it on! - then the terrorists or jihadists or extremists would say, Oh, those Americans mean business we better go back to our caves and hide. Where do these people get their brains? Nothing combats evil like being more evil!!

9. Well...then I can say it is Bush's fault
Are they forgetting the manly shout of "Bring it on" and "you are either with me or against me"?

And that he has given everyone, through his strut to his arrogant school yard fighting demeanor, permission to cross the line. Bush does it every day. He condones abuse in his political ads, his support of the behavior of his "loyal" administration toads right through to how he addresses the nation on Saturdays.

Over and over,George Bush has told the people of the united States exactly what he thinks of them.

11. Ridiculous
It was Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, the people over at Democratic Underground, and Ted Rall, among many, many others who were screaming not to invade because these type of actions would surely occur in the war of resistance.

All of the knee jerk yahoo's who supported this illegal war and occupation should stop trying to blame those that objected to the war, in the 1st place, and take responsibility that their unquestioning loyalty to this administration made these acts as predictable as the sun rising in morning.

12. He's right,
we didn't storm the White House and get rid of the Bush gang in 2000. No Bush, no LIHOP, no war for poppy, pickles, and Haliburton,no beheaded Berg. But what the hell? We didn't figure we needed to celebrate the new millenium with a civil war.
