Kool-Aid. I don't trust him to do anything but fawn over All Things White House.
And the very last book I'd be interested reading right now is his. From what I've heard - in passing, from brief near-misses of him hyping it on other shows, it didn't sound the least bit interesting to me. Heck, I can't even get that far into Richard Clarke's book, and that's - what? Four or FIVE exposes ago - and I WANT to finish that one - AND the others! I'd have to be reading the back of the milk of magnesia bottle before I'd check out his book.
Tim Russert has nothing of interest to say to me - except maybe "dear viewers, I must beg your forgiveness for being such a disgraceful, empty-headed sycophant to the republi-CON party all these years, turning a deaf ear to all their lies, misdeeds, recklessness and character assassination, and repeatedly falling for any anti-liberal baloney they come up with, while at the same time choosing to pile on Bill Clinton for a miserably small and insignificant mistake. I have given george bush far too much of an undeserved free pass, when what I have seen - and, in fact, enabled him to get away with constitutes a NUMBER of cases of high crimes and misdemeanors. This man deserves to be president about as much as I do, ladies and gentlemen. I offer my sincere apology, and I vow to give a much more intensified, serious, and objective examination into all the shenanigans I strongly suspect the bush regime of perpetrating. I hope you'll join me in supporting the Democratic nominee and distinguished war veteran and senator, John Kerry, for president, as soon as you all have the opportunity to cast your vote.
If Russert said THAT, I might forgive him and perhaps begin to try trusting him again. A couple of milquetoast critiques here and there lately doth not a redemption make.
