encounter with a Bush-waggin co-worker
this guy still hasn't learned...

yesterday, prior to the news of the beheading got out, he was pooh-poohing the tortures as blowing off steam by a couple of guys who were upset because their fellow soldiers were getting blown up

so today he basically said that we should nuke Iraq because of the beheading

I asked him why? isn't this just a couple of guys blowing off steam because they are upset about their buddies being tortured?

he said "you don't understand what this war is about..."

Me: what's it about? Why are we over there?

him: we're there to get rid of bin-laden and al-qaeda

me:(groan there goes the saddam bin-laden connection again...) bin-laden is in afghanistan, and al-qaeda is all over the world, so why are we in iraq

him: because saddam was backing him

me: no, saddam had nothing to do with bin-laden, and before you continue, saddam had nothing to do with 9-11 either. and before you ask where I heard it - This is according to a clarification made months ago by bush. Bush said that there was no connection between Saddam, bin-laden and 9-11

him: what about the weapons of mass destruction? Saddam has wea---

me: we've been in there for over a year now, how many weapons of mass destruction have we found?

him: don't know

me: none, so tell me again why we are in Iraq?

him: because they hate freedom

:eyes: I freakin' give up this guy :eyes:

2. It is stuff like this....
That makes me glad I do most of my work from my home office...

I DO miss some of the office camaraderie, but there are too many numbskulls out there.

3. He's a hopeless cause. A Doorstop mentality.
No facts just the typical lines he gets from Rush or his little butt-boy Roger Hedgecock.
Dont waste your time. He is the enemy and will soon be hunting people like you and me.

5. You should have kept going.
According to the student at UIUC, there were officially 27 reasons why we went to war in Iraq. It would have been interesting to see if he knew all of them.

I have two guys at work who go through the same thing with me. Usually I get to where you got and hear about how no planes have flown into buildings since Bush took office - never mind he was in office when the planes were hijacked - we all know it was Clinton's fault.

12. That's absurd
Terrorists didn't fly planes into buildings UNTIL Bush took office. Pass that along for me, along with a screaming "WAKE THE FUCK UP!"

7. Rush, if you're reading this, you must be laughing to yourself
it's working! It's working!

Rush Limbaugh actually controls the minds of millions of Americans!

No wonder he needed drugs. How do you sleep at night knowing everything you say will be taken as gospel AND QUOTED by your followers?

8. When someone brings up the link...
I try to educate them a little by compairing it to Jesse Jackson wanting to link up with the KKK because both groups want to do something about police harrassment. See how stupid that sounds? It's exactly the same when they say Saddam wanted to link up with bin Laden. They have as much in common as Jackson and the KKK do.

9. I ran into a whole buncha such idiots at Syracuse U. graduation
We went to attend the graduation of some family members. At the Visual and Performing Arts ceremony, the invited speaker began talking about the crimes of the Bush administration, and my family was clapping and murmuring "right on!" Then to my amazement, at least half of the audience began booing and hissing and telling the speaker to get off the stage. They were not going to listen to someone criticize their boy Bush. I thought: so this is where Bush's 50% support comes from. From these Republicans sitting here who want to cover their ears lest they hear the truth.

I think the vast majority of the students agreed with the speaker. It's their idiot parents who were getting steamed.

16. You left the MOST IMPORTANT part out!!!
You said nothing about how you laughed at his stupidity, and how the people watching this laughed along with you. (and don't tell me there was no audience, or that you didn't ridicule him. Without an audience or ridicule, there's absolutely NO reason to debate a Freeper)
