OMG! Check out the "author" on Michael Savage's show
Folks, the repuglycan hype machine just kicked into third gear. This "author" (didn't catch his name) has written a book explaining and warning that John Kerry is JUST LIKE Jimmy Carter and, if Kerry is elected, his presidency will be JUST LIKE Jimmy Carter's.

You can only imagine how Savage and this "author" went on and on about how Jimmy Carter was the root cause of all terrorism because the Shah of Iran was deposed during Carter's presidency, how Carter thought every conflict could be solved by talking, how Carter has messed things up sticking his nose in foreign affairs post-presidency, and how Kerry is a "disciple" of Jimmy Carter. I am not accurately conveying the intensity of the fear-mongering that occurred during the interview because they went so fast I can't remember all of it. Savage expressed shock that Carter wasn't a nuclear submarine captain when the "author" advised that Carter was actually a nuclear engineer. Savage then concluded that his thinking Carter was a ship captain must have been part of the propaganda.

Now tell me, what writer would pick as the topic of a book the alleged similarities between two politicians and predict that one will be like the other in the future if elected? WHAT A JOKE!

It was disgusting and when I find the book on Amazon.com lets all go write a nice review for the "author." Mkay?

1. Carter and Talking

What's troubling about this perception is that Carter in fact showed that talking and other forms of pressure did work.

3. Yes, but . . .
. . . we have a four year Bush record to rely upon.

I should note that during the entire Savage interview, not one current issue was discussed; much less Kerry's position or voting record on an issue.

5. Savage is the lowest of the bottom feeders
He's just a NUT that spews hate and intolerance and vengeance. There's not a shred of morality in the man.

4. Carter has more courage....
in his little finger than Dubya does in his whole body. Yeah, when the Shah of Iran was deposed, Carter stood by his friend.

When the reactor at Three Mile Island practically went into a meltdown, President Carter headed there (when everyone else was fleeing).

Duyba says he does what is right, doesn't lead by focus groups and opinion polls (as if). Carter really did what he thought was right. He talked about the energy crisis, he boycotted the 1980 Moscow Olympics, he stood by his friend the Shah, even at the cost of angering the Ayatollah and Islamic extremists who held our people hostage.

Since leaving office, Carter has done extensive work with Habitat for Humanity. No, he didn't found it, but had he not been so active with it, most of us probably wouldn't have heard of it.

And, if we want to blame some one for terrorism, Al Franken had a good point in his book "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them..."

After the marine barracks bombing in Beirut, Reagan pulled troops out, starting the precedent and giving terrorists the idea that Americans flee if they get a bloody nose.

6. Jimmy Carter was ham-strung because he was an outsider.
Same reason Howard Dean didn't cut the muster.

Kerry has no such worry...
