Olbermann Gives O'Reilly the Smackdown
I'm falling head over heels in love with Keith Olbermann.

-------
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A22538-2004May12_2.html
MSNBC's Keith Olbermann -- who, as we reported yesterday, considers Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly an "abject failure," which prompted a Fox spokesman to brand Olbermann a "tortured soul" -- would like the last word on this little spat. Olbermann e-mailed us yesterday: "My soul stopped being tortured the day I stopped working for those soul-less clowns at Fox." Over to you, Bill.

2. In a one on one O'Really would look like the fool he is,
but that will never happen.

The left should leave O'Reilly alone, he is a pathetic character who believes these attacks are because they admire him.

3. Olberman has been slowly getting more bold
Too bad the media idiots don't get that there are a whole lot of moderates and left of center thinkers out there who want to see programing like this and not the pathetic Dennis Miller. (hit "laugh track" button, please.)

4. I wrote a belated thank-you note to countdown
Last night for exposing the white house emails he got when he was to interview Joe Wilson. I made sure to tell them I watch every night and am in the 18-to-30 year old male demographic.

5. Even more interesting to me
is in the same column and article about Kristen Breitweiser...go to the first part of the article. Breitweiser was accidently sent a nasty e-mail from Dorothy Rabinowitz..

6. Go Keith
I usually don't watch his show - it don't really like the way he mixes serious news with fluff news. But he obviously has his head screwed on right.

8. Countdown is now a regular stop on the dial for me..
I have always liked Olberman's style, because most importantly he doesn't take himself too seriously. He is also not afraid to admit his errors or his lack of knowledge about a particular subject when interviewing folks....

His interview with Ambassador Wilson was VERY good....

9. i like him too
a year ago or whenever he first got into this, his conclusions he was drawing in what was happening in the political scene were off. was like he hadnt been in political life a lot. then i hear he was a sports dude, but was ok, cause i saw when he asked a stupid question, he listened to the other person. and man, what i have seen in the guy the last couple months, looking like he is getting real comfortable in the political scene.

so good for him

oh, and he isnt afraid, ll lol lol lol, has been willing to lose job in past.

10. What happened with that?
I heard that he "lost his job" a few times here but never heard the whole story. What happened?

keith olbermann is the best thing going on tv right now.

13. Keith Olbermann Rocks.
He's about the only one on cable that's not some far right wing idiot. I watch him every night when I can. I suggest everyone do the same before they cancel his show.

14. Was Rabinowitz describing herself?
Was Dorothy Rabinowitz describing herself and her coven?

”…nonsense from people given endless media access to repeat the very same stupid charges, suspicions, and the rest," Rabinowitz fumed. " . . women clearly in the grip of the delusion that they know something, have some policy, and wisdom not given to the rest of us to know -- to grab the spotlight. again,. and repeat, again, the same tripe before a national audience.”

Sound like any others we know?

Let the irony begin!

15. Olbermann was at MSNBC before
he went to FOX sports. He did a program called The Big Show for a year and a half. I liked the big show, but I am a fan of Olbermann style irony/sarcasm. I don't know if they canned him when the adopted a right wing line up, or he voluntarily returned to his first love. Before cable Keith was a sportscaster in SoCal market.

What distinguishes Keith, and why he has found popularity here, is that he is smart. It's hard for a smart person to follow the right wing.

16. O'Reilly's such a chickenshit fraud he EDITS his show
Hey O'Reilly, how 'bout showing your puke-fest live so you don't edit out all the zingers that your guests make?
