What happened to Air America in San Francisco and San Jose?
Hello Friends:

A few weeks ago they were talking about Air America going live in San Francisco and San Jose in May. Now it seems they have taken that off. Does anyone know if it will happen?

Thanks

They are not on AAR list of stations anymore.
http://www.airamericaradio.com/pub/globalDefault.htm

Not having stations in any top fifteen market (besides NY) is not good, but we can only hope it's just new network blues and indeed it will add more stations

AAR is here to stay...it will make gobs of money.

Rabdi Rhodes is the star and the best on AAR.

I would love to hear the great Mike Malloy on AAR anytime, day or night.

3. This Might Give You A Little Clue...
From today's Chicago Sun-Times:

http://www.suntimes.com/output/feder/cst-fin-feder131.html

Amid reports that Highland Park millionaires Sheldon and Anita Drobny are returning to rescue the troubled Air America Radio network they initially bankrolled, the liberal talk radio outfit has shut down its sales offices in Chicago and Los Angeles.

really? Or are you just being cute? There are a couple of things he needs to do to help himself: stop the liar thing. It makes me wanna puke. Get rid of the freeper friend. Don't wanna know one or listen to one even if for a moment. OR at least, make him a once a month thing.....for gawd's sake, not daily. Quit interrupting the guests!! Please! I beg of him, do not interrupt constantly. I wanna hear what THEY say. He's had great guests, don't ruin it. Not so much dead air time. He just needs to practice that. The pauses are waaaayyy too long. Other than those things, he's
doing a great job. No, I mean it. I would listen to him anyday over you-know-who(enter any Repuke radio host here).:)

7. Randi mentioned that they had had Republican operatives within
and no further explanation.
Apparently, there were internicine problems. I AM PRAYING THEY SOLVE THE PROBLEMS. I LOVE AIR AMERICA.

8. Evan Montvel-Cohen is a former Republican fundraiser
and it sounds like (according to a Guam gossip site) that he's defrauded some folks there.

WHAT A BUMMER!
Date: 2004-05-07 20:49:33

"So it seems that two Guam investors in Air America liberal talk show have probably lost their investment big time.....I can't for the life of me figure out how smart man Rex Sorensen hooked up with Evan M-Cohen.......seems to me that when EMC left the island that he was supposedly dying of a brain tumor.......one of Steve Nygard's columns in the Business Journal said that many people on Guam wanted to know where he was..........hmmmmmm, could it be that all the bills weren't paid before the man's exit? I know, it was because they wanted to know where to send the get-well cards!
Okay so these two men with money to burn invested in talk America...left of the Clintons, the Kerrys, the Howard Deans, etc...I understand that the beginnings were bumpy..............According to the Drudge Report:"In yet another sign of trouble for Air America Radio, the liberal talk network entering its fifth chaotic week on the air, co-founder and chairman Evan Cohen resigned Thursday, as did vice-chairman and investor Rex Sorensen.(snip)The departures of Cohen, a former political operative from Guam who was among the network's initial investors, and Sorenson, an investor who owns radio stations in Guam, mark the second executive shake-up at the fledgling network in as many weeks."
Sad that we couldn't 'shine' in the U.S. of A.! So.......hope that Mr. EMC isn't still bothered by that brain tumor........
