"this war was a mistake" bandwagon
Just watched some general on CNBC informing everyone how much this war was a mistake, bush is bad.. yadda yadda. I remember this general last year being very hawkish and playing the 9-11 card... Where were all these voices when America needed them RIGHT BEFORE WE WENT TO WAR!

1. They were branded as French-loving unpatriotic traitors
Or worse... and then promptly ignored.

2. I told everybody I knew the war was a mistake...
...before it started. Still telling them but the freepers around here are exceptionally hard headed.

3. DZ - most here at DU were against the invasion and predicted
the outcome you now see: no WMDs; occupying a soverign country - the list goes on.

No we are not going to say "I told you so." <no need>

4. yeah
It just makes me mad the verbal bashing Iraq war skeptics got from pundits... I have a few burned in my mind. I remember Neil Cuvuto doing his opening remarks about a week after the war started basically calling anti-Iraq war people insane. I also got sick of O'Reilly doing his "looney-left" and "world war 3" commentary...

6. It's a good thing when the Generals are finally saying
it in public. We may have stopped this horror if they had spoken out BEFORE the war.

7. IIRC, Gen. Shinseki was against it from the start
as were many other ex-military and ex-diplomats, and millions of people marching in the streets all over the world.

But you know how it goes, the president can't be bothered to listen to focus groups.
