1. the press has a short attention span
and they don't seem to be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. Its all or nothing drama.

after Condi's pass of an interview coupled with the farce that W tried to pass off as a "nothing to hide" full-accounting.

Now if the press would have the balls to call the commission for the lapdog it is that would be a story. But perhaps their plan all along was to wait for the shrubs to self-implode.

Irresponsible on the press's part? You bet. A good story for them? You bet.

4. They meet again for public hearings on May 18/19
The Commission's eleventh public hearing on "Emergency Response" will be held May 18-19, 2004, at New School University in New York City.
They're going to go over what happened on September 11th itself.
